29/03/2024: What a place! Nothing could be improved - really lovely, inventive food with such goofs flavours. Huge range of wines which are well priced. Excellent staff - attentive but friendly and laid back. Loved it here so much.

21/03/2024: It is a hidden treasure, totally didn't expect the amazing food , staff and unique setting. The premises outside gave the impression of a standard tea room BUT what a wonderful surprise inside. We were only passing through the village and decided we would like something to eat with a nice hot cup of coffee/Tea. Their hot chocolate is a piece of art and delicious we had chanced our arm by calling in, so delighted we did. Unfortunately I don't live locally. I live in Galway but if ever the chance of passing anywhere near there I will make sure of calling in. The staff were so kind and helpful. No pressure on hurrying even though they were very busy. Only thing I didn't see if was wheenchair accessable.

13/03/2024: Excellent beautiful place we went for mothers day. Very busy but the staff were excellent we were waiting all of 3 minutes to be seated. The food was scrumptious served piping hot and it was 5🌟. Excellent service between courses we were finished and ready for home after 1.5 hours. Very reasonable priced and again staff kept checking if we were OK for everything. We will be back.

27/03/2024: Had a wonderful meal at Monks Lane on Friday 22nd of March. The atmosphere was amazing and the food was sublime. The staff couldn't do enough for us. A very memorable event. Thanks Gavin and his wonderful team ❤

02/04/2024: We absolutely loved our stay at Liss Ard at Easter. We took our dog with us and were in a dog friendly room in the lake house. The room was very nice and it had a fabulous bathroom. The gardens around the Lakehouse were lovely and the views amazing. There are loads of walks to do within the grounds and the location means there’s plenty to do when you leave the estate too. The staff are so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. A couple of small issues we found: The walkways to and from the lakehouse and the Manor House are not lit the whole way which is disappointing. But The staff offer to drive you in the buggy if you need it. There should be a bin outside around the dog friendly rooms in the lake house. There is one in the garden rooms of the Manor House. The restaurant is expensive for what you get and the menu limited! The drinks are also not cheap with the cheapest bottle of red wine being €45! We would definitely return and I wish there were more dog friendly places like this in Ireland!

09/03/2024: It's Saturday evening, and only 2 other families in the spot. Good came out pretty quick, and it was excellent. We did a build your own platter. The lemon sole, garlic mushrooms.. ummm calamari were really good! Top it off with some Irish whiskey. It's a gem on the Bay front. We'd recommend.

27/03/2024: Fantastic experience, like an upscale hotel but with a family welcome and atmosphere. Beautiful place, lovely rooms, great service and staff with fantastic food, this is an experience not to be missed and you will want to return. Only slight negative was the cooked breakfast which was well below the very high standards throughout.... Special shout out to our Canadian friends Selena and Brent who were outstanding and looked after us so very well 💚

01/04/2024: Have to say we had one of the best meals in a long time here. We took our daughters and they made them feel very welcome. We both ordered the feathered beef which was melt in the mouth. I could have ordered another. The girls had nuggets and chips which they enjoyed. They destroyed the cookies and cream ice cream for after. My wife ordered two cocktails which again were lovely. Will be back when we are in Middleton again.
