02/04/2024: Easter Saturday night.... Table for four by window for dinner and drinks 1. Fabulous staff customer service off the map.... Eve knew so much about allergies.... All the staff unreal U should train the staff at the Clayton Big heads up to the doormen fabulous guys my husband really enjoyed the banter while having a smoke... Big hug to Ali.. Food good ingrdients but a little hit n miss on the steak..... I really did mean blue But compensated with a g n t Trad music sound...... Sorry to have missed the seige but we will all be back Rita and Brian tipperary

29/03/2024: Beautiful Pub. Gluten-free menu, gluten-free beer, fast, quality raw materials. We had the delicious fish soup. Very good traditional soup and generous portion I recommend trying.

02/04/2024: Just had a little celebration with my husband ( 20 years anniversary 🥰) he booked a table by a surprise 🎇 food drink and the atmosphere couldn't be nicer... The girl who served us ( I forgot to ask her name) was really nice and all of the team really on the ball.... brilliant

01/04/2024: The best restaurant in limerick by far! Freddies is our little treat to ourselves. Food is absolutely amazing best by far compared to anywhere else. I have been going to freddies for years and years. Great value fir money considering the quality of the food. I've never once had any complaint in all the years but I have been pleasantly surprised time and time again on the amazing taste and service!

31/03/2024: Easily one of the best meals I've ever had. The awards adorn this lovely little cottage and they are well deserved. The service was impeccable and attentive. The atmosphere is quaint and the cottage vibes help bring in the feeling of home hearth. We started our drinks with whiskey and a Gewurztraminer for Grandma. The water was W.B. Years water and it was delicious. We ordered 4 appetizers from there, the Scotch Egg, the Crab Tart, the Fried Dooncastle Oysters, and the French Onion Soup. We also ordered the fresh made bread with farmhouse butter. It was my first time ever trying a scotch egg and it was soooo delicious with the homemade beer mustard. It wasn't overpowering and paired with the apple puree and creamy yolk of the egg, everything was nice and smooth. The oysters were fantastic as well as the French Onion Soup. The gruyere and the bread used in the soup accompanied the creamy texture so well. The highlight of the appetizers was the fresh crab tart. The quality of crab used was remarkable and the presentation was elevated by the flavor of every different dollop of sauce. The crunch of the flaky phyllo-dough like crust with the refreshing brightness of the sweet creme fraiche tied the full dynamic flavor of the crab tart together. We could've ordered three so that we would have had our own. For the main course, we ordered the Duck, the Lamb, and the Sirloin. Grandma was able to substitute the bacon and crispy onion mash for her chips and that was very nice of the Chef. All of our entrees were locally sourced as well as the veggies. Grandma ordered her sirloin Med. Well and she said it was cooked exactly how she liked it. My lamb was delicious and cooked to a nice Med. rare. My favorite part was the texture of the seared and seasoned crust with the soft and juicy center. The quality of lamb was awesome with its flavor not being overpowered by gaminess. I absolutely loved my giant grilled asparagus. It was thick without being too fibrous. My polenta was crisped to perfection and the flavor was perfectly savory. My husband's Duck was the favorite entree. Grandma has never had Duck and loved it. The duck was cooked a perfect Med rare and absolutely melted in our mouth. I've only seen hasselback potatoes on Instagram and I was ecstatic to finally try it. We devoured our entrees and moved onto dessert, which we ordered 4 again. We ordered the Pudding Pot, the Soufflé, the "Faked" Alaska, and the creme brulée. While we waited the 20 mins for the pudding pot and the Soufflé, we ordered an espresso and an Irish Coffee. Both of which came with a delicious chocolate cookie. The desserts came out and blew us away. The server assistant prepared the Soufflé by pouring in the toffee. I went after the lemon curd Alaska with the meringue. We shared the pudding pot and the Soufflé. Grandma loved her creme brulée. Our favorite was probably the Soufflé and my 2nd was the Faked Alaska. I loved the contrast of the warm Soufflé with the cold lemon curd under the meringue. This was a very long-winded review but this was one of the best meals we've had in a very long time. This dinner would be $800-$900 easily in Las Vegas and we walked out under $400 after tip. The cottage is from 1826 as part of the service homes for the Adare Manor. The love and passion of Chef Murphy and his wife Elaine are reflected in the fact that it is a well respected restaurant in town. Our hotel said we were lucky to get reservations there and that they are usually full. Thank you so much, Chef Murphy! Truly a delight.

02/04/2024: We're just back from the woodlands Hotel and Spa celebrating Easter and my birthday well what can I say we had the most amazing time from start to.finish the rooms are fabulous we had the best nights sleep in there comfy beds there was so much to do onsite of the hotel and the tree house outside was just amazing we had dinner in the tree huts our first evening they had a lovely stove in them and the food was so tasty. The staff couldn't do enough for there quests there was such a nice family feel to the hotel .breakfast was outstanding lots of choices from cereals pastrys your full breakfast also you could order from a menu I had the eggs benedict and an ommelette the following morning it was delish also there vegetables are grown in there garden .the pet farm and the alpacas on.site was such a big hit with the children and adults also !! there was so much to.do for all ages the leisure centre was a big hit with us all we swam every morning had a jacuzzi steam and sauna to .we thoroughly enjoyed our two night break and can't wait to go back in the summer thank you to all the staff at the woodlands for making our stay so delightfull .

31/03/2024: Brought the family here for birthday lunch. Service could not have been better. Hotel was busy with a wedding, but this didn't distract the staff in any way. They managed to keep everyone very happy and made granny feel special. Thoroughly recommended.

03/04/2024: Hotel with ancient charm with parking included. It offers a delicious breakfast with an array of traditional Irish products, high-quality ingredients and impeccable service. The welcoming main room and the spacious, clean rooms equipped with a fireplace complete the warm general atmosphere of the hotel.

28/03/2024: We had a lovely stay in Dunraven, service, room and food were superb. We were there for an anniversary lunch and the staff and management could not have done more for my parents in looking after every detail and making the day so special.

22/03/2024: Food was ok but over priced for the quality and very small portion. Service started ok, but I had 2 ask repeatedly for a 2nd drink, and the food was very slow to come. Never asked if everything was OK, not offered a dessert option and it really wasn't busy. Also, cold inside.

03/04/2024: Warm and welcoming pub in the small town of Adare where you can eat typical Irish dishes next to a lit fireplace. Very kind and attentive staff. Advised

29/03/2024: Adare is a lovely town but this place is trading off its location and past glories. Attended a small family event recently here. Rude bar staff, seemed to be head barman who served lager in stout and cider glasses. Beer was flat as a punctured tyre. In this day and age on a relativley quiet evening at 9pm, and at these prices how is that acceptable? It was quiet but service was slow. Finger food platters i didnt touch but very poor clearing up service. Had to clear the tables consistently through the evening ourselves. Avoid. Go to one of the many other fine establishments nearby.

30/03/2024: Ordered the Prawn tagliatelle but was tasteless and so oily I couldn't eat it. Prawns were from frozen and tasted like it had freezer burn and were like rubber. The chips were just awful also. The mashed potatoes were gorgeous though. Portions were big but such a pity the food was so disappointing.
