28/03/2024: Excellent all round. Highly recommended

14/03/2024: Dillons is a good sized restaurant with a pub area and a main dining room. They required a reservation and table turnover was quick. We ordered the 10 oz steak and roasted chicken with mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked to order and came with nicely seasoned onion rings and hot fries. The chicken was good and served with steamed broccoli and carrots. The food was good but the restaurant was very loud. Most tables had more than one kid and several were a bit out of control. The food was good but the overall experience was disappointing

03/01/2024: Went there New Years Eve. Staff were lovely, friendly, welcoming. Offered to top up my pint at one stage. Free shots to ring in the new year. Great selection of drinks.

04/04/2024: Wow, impressed on all aspects! The staff, particularly Claire, was absolutely incredible. The food was so delicious, I ate every last bite and got more for the road. Visiting from Atlanta, GA, USA; this food was amazing. Highly recommend stopping here!!

28/03/2024: First time trying it out and as soon as we sat down we were told off by an incredibly rude waiter. No signage on the table saying it was reserved and even so there was no need to take such a tone to an honest mistake.

27/03/2024: Despite having good reviews for food. The service was deplorable. I felt sorry for the one waiter, who was managing the whole floor and take away orders. Still as we went to the effort of booking a table in advance, we were still over looked when it came to ordering. Waiting more than 20 minutes without placing an order, despite indicating we’d like to order. The chef cooking the pizzas appeared to be the owner. If you are please review you level of staffing and if struggling to gain staff, please advise current staff to prioritise customers who have booked and are already seated. We ended up leaving after waiting 20 minutes to order and gain incredible service at a restaurant only a few doors away. Sage, I would highly recommend this restaurant, for food and service.

01/04/2024: I was lucky enough to have been taken out as a surprise dinner here at the Dining room. It was perfect in every way possible, from the welcoming service, perfect warm atmosphere and of course the food was outstanding 👌 well worth a visit and we are looking forward to eating here again soon.

17/02/2024: Food to die for. I got an amazing baked potato. Massive size with tuna sweet corn and melted cheese in a bowl with a warning that it was very 🔥 bowl was on a plate which had an amazing salad to go with the baked potato. All I had to ask for was butter so I could melt it into the potato. Absolutely gorgeous and it was so big I could not finish the potato. Highly recommended as prices are very good as well.

04/04/2024: An File Bar (the poet)* in Westport, Ireland, was our favorite eatery when we visited Ireland in April 2022. After our first lunch there, we couldn’t wait to return and did so several times. The traditional Irish pub is on the Octagon in the heart of Westport in County Mayo. It is a favorite of locals, but visitors like us also drop in for BL&D. The food is traditional Irish pub grub made from fresh and locally sourced ingredients. The menu is brief but covers the basics. The full-service bar serves Guinness (and other beer), wine, and spirits. The menu covers the basics of Irish cuisine. OUR FAVORITES — --Bangers and mash served with onion gravy and tasty red cabbage --Vegetable soup and brown bread (I could swim in the soup and live forever on the hearty brown bread and Irish butter) --Chicken sandwich on brown bread was made with chunks of chicken breast, Irish cheddar and fresh greens --Green salad with panko-crumbed goat cheese (a meal in itself) --Seafood chowder – don’t pass this one up; I still crave the creamy soup filled with tidbits of cod, shrimp, and mussels --A glass of prosecco is perfect with either soup --Guinness is a match for everything --Always ask for brown bread; it is unforgettable, healthy, and hearty Stop into An File in Westport for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a creamy Guinness. You’ll be glad you did. *This memory was inspired by family traveling in Ireland and eating at An file Bar Westport. We are so jealous!

We are in Westport on holidays and we were looking for a good breakfast and we were recommended here, and it was all excellent, Full Irish very filling and with quality ingredients, delicious onion jam, and the soup of the day was also very tasty, very good prices! ! I also want to highlight Max's great attention and kindness!! Recommended 100%

01/04/2024: We booked a family room with 2 queen beds, but when we got to the room, the attendant realized his mistake as there was only one bed. They gave us a 2nd room for free. The hotel needs some work such as new carpet and paint. The bathroom looked nice. However, there is no water pressure. It was impossible to take a shower. Breakfast came with the booking. It was good, and portions were large sized. However, they were out of waffles and juice. Don't know how one does that as they are staple items for breakfast. The forest surrounding the castle was stunning. If you get a chance, go explore. Overall, it was a cool experience, but I don't know if I would stay here again or not.

31/03/2024: We had dinner at the Library Restaurant while staying off site. The food and drinks were lovely. The setting is regal. The Drunken Bullock Fillet is truly an experience. The entire staff was very attentive and friendly. The manager went out of his way to accommodate us on a tour of the castle and its interesting collection of items. We look forward to returning and staying at the hotel.

10/03/2024: I really enjoyed my meal here. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere, everyone working there was really friendly and helpful and the food was perfect at the end of a long day. We had garlic mushrooms, Brie, creamy chicken with champ, a rib eye steak and a fruity pavlova for dessert. Every thing was fresh, beautifully cooked and the mushroom sauce was absolutely delicious. A lovely restaurant, a very nice experience and very reasonably priced.
