23/12/2023: I just arrived back to my native county one week ago. The Castle was always my favourite pub. It's still the same welcoming pub that it's always been. The Castle Bar has a unique atmosphere. Customer service is impeccable as is the Guinness. Or whatever your favourite tipple is. It definitely has the personal touch. I wasn't surprised to see the same customers there. Very sports oriented pub but not to the point where you can't have a conversation. If you want a warm welcome and a great atmosphere then the Castle Bar is the place. BTW thanks for the pint Gerard, excellent 👍 See you guys again very soon.

10/03/2024: The soup here is always exceptional. Accompanied by a selection of breads that are just as exceptional. The food, the service, the staff and the ambiance are consistently perfect. I'm a local and it's my favourite higher end eating establishment.

17/02/2024: I really wanted to love my experience here since I had heard so many positive word of mouth reviews, but unfortunately I didn't enjoy my evening. Pros: - The gentleman who greeted us at the bar was outstanding; he was very welcoming and an excellent host. - The Guinness was fantastic. - The ambiance of the restaurant itself was just beautiful. Cons: - They seemed to have one - maybe 2 - waiters working (alongside several others who merely bring out orders). This made it really difficult to grab our waiters attention and after trying several times I had to go out to the bar area myself to ask for another round of drinks for the table. (We were not asked or checked on once during our meal if we would like more drinks). Our waiter took our orders, briefly came back once mains were served to check the food was okay (which was right after I had gone out to the bar area myself) but apart from that he didn't come to our table any other time. Had it come back, we may have ordered sides. We didn't feel 'taken care of' at all. Even when the servers brought food to the table they disappeared just as quickly making it difficult to ask them for drinks/sides. - The food was such a let down to me. While the presentation of each plate couldn't be faulted, the actual quality was extremely lacking. I had the beef and at that price point it was incredibly underwhelming - I even left some on my plate. It was cooked just how I asked, but it just wasn't a good cut of beef; I'd go so far as to say it was one of the worst I've had? Honestly, the food quality at the Horse and Jockey a few KMs down the motorway was better (and that's a very different, very casual, lower budget option to Chez Hans - they're not exactly comparable, but the quality differences are vast). Maybe I have higher standards/expectations personally? I don't know, but at these prices I expected a hell of a lot more. I was really disappointed in my evening here and it saddens me to say that I won't be coming back. (On the two stars I gave, one was for the host in the bar, and the other was for the Guinness)

31/03/2024: Went for dinner midweek. Food was all lovely, including veg pasta for a vegetarian that finds it difficult to get a decent meal. Service was excellent, really friendly staff.

03/03/2024: Absolutely delicious food. I was brought there for my birthday dinner. 3 course meal. Food was incredible and their steak is to die for- perfect medium rare with chargrilled outside and that special flavour of real smoke. Presentation of dishes is just stunning, photos don't do justice. Cocktails were amazing. And as a birthday gift I got song blasted on speakers and candle in my desert. Treated like a queen. Sraff is amazing too with attention that is not bothersome, yet very approachable. Me and my partner have visited good few restaurants over the last half a year and I can honestly say Mani is the best by far. I'm still amazed about it. Highly recommend everyone to experience it, the price is well worth it.

25/02/2024: Mani is a 5 star experience in every way! The ambience is gorgeous, not too loud. The food is so flavoursome & perfectly portioned. It feels like such a treat. But what makes Mani exceptional is the service! The crew are fantastic & the jewel in their crown is Catherine - running the show! An absolute lady!

03/04/2024: Food is a little bit salty, but still good. The service is very warm and kind. And you can view the stream from the window, it's very worth!

13/12/2023: Highly recommend shopping with Clonmel Garden Centre. I purchased 3 items online but Alan had to give me the bad news that 2 were out of stock. However Alan went out of his way to source the 2 missing items from another retailer and organised shipping replacements without being asked. You don't often see this level of customer service and I'm very impressed and thankful.

21/08/2023: Can get echo and noisy at time due to high ceiling, nice food options and good portion. Staff really friendly and nothing too much trouble
