1909 in Dublin

Very original set up. I am not sure if I like the booth, but... I guess it's matter of taste. I am not sure if a slow service is a thing in Dublin. 😁 As everywhere we went it took a while for us to order a meal. When we arrived, it wasn't that busy. It looked like they were very understaffed. I am guessing it was a manager meeting and seating guests, then he was trying to take orders, serve drinks.... When we've ordered our meal, it came out very fast. The chicken "Parmigiana“ it was outstanding. The guy didn't mind sharing the secret of the dish. I had Lamb shank, that it was nice, but I hoped for a little bit of a wow factor after tasting the chicken. I am glad that our daughter point it out about 10 percent tip charge on the bill. As we normally leave a little bit more than that, but if we haven't seen it....

Super service and nice food. Loved the decor and elegant atmosphere. All the guys were super friendly. We’re definitely coming back!

The venison and red wine stew is my absolute favorite at this restaurant. It's the best I've ever had!

Lovely spot for lunch or dinner

Excellent restaurant with very talented kitchen staff supported by a very committed owner. They manage to make very simple ingredients taste really special. Food accompanied by a very good selection of wines. Prawn stater followed by the special ‘Yorkshire pudding and mash potatoes’. Main course description does not do justice to what was one of the best main courses I have had in years. P.S. there’s wonderful meat in the pud. All I need is an excuse to go back.

Disappointing menu, portions and prices. We know its Christmas week but feel let down.

Not great. Food and service not great

Its a pity they don’t update there website menu i was looking up there menu on there site & it was showing ribeye steak so i book the restaurant on the enjoyment to get this steak but wen we arrived i was told it was no longer on there menu & i had to pick something else which if i had known this before hand i would have booked elsewhere. We were disappointed by this and asked the staff why they don’t update their website to show this.
