Highly recommend! Restaurant and bar area are beautiful, the team are so friendly and their knowledge and expertise is evident. Nice range on the menu. I’m absolutely no wine expert but large selection for those who are! Felt the prices were reasonable

The bar was lovely, with friendly staff, nice cocktails, and nice decoration. The DJ was using real vinyl, and the music was great. We didn’t have food (just stopped in for a drink) but the place was amazing! Would recommend.

This restaurant needed to be booked 2 months in advance and we could only get a Wednesday evening at 8pm. We expected great things.
Staff were friendly and not overly attentive, which was nice but also meant we had to chase down extra water, and my partners wine was sow to be delivered.
Food had great ingredients and all well cooked, but it was all overly complicated, with unnecessary accompaniments that drowned out the flavour of the main ingredients, and some dishes were overly salty.
The building itself is very noisy.
The menu was gimmicky and the prices were high. €21 for 1 scallop, no matter how ethically sourced and described as a sharing starter.....I won't be rushing back

This places is absolutely fabulous and my favorite one around spencer dock area, one day I was walking nearby and I saw this restaurant and in a very friendly manner they told me they didn’t have any table, however they could allocate me at a bar table.
It was the best decision, the cocktails are delicious, the food is 10/10 is like Peruvian food but, with an European taste, the staff are very nice, Dany the bartender and Isabella the host are amazing, guys if you are around spencer dock, definitely try this place

The Monkfish and Apple goodie really reminded us of home. Great service and the cocktails were super delicious. Highly highly recommend! Standout was the Yushuko cocktail that blew the jocks off of us.

Overall the food and service was brilliant just two things to flag up if you are eating at Allta
1. I’d avoid eating at the bar counter and hold out for the restaurant. We were there on a Friday night and nearly developed tinnitus the speaker beside us was so loud- we genuinely could think/hear each other. Not sure if this goes for the whole bar area but the people beside us complained and had their dessert in a different spot.
2. I’m all for paying for great food, but if you want some value on the menu I’d avoid the steak. We ordered the sharing chop which for 85€ comes with a small salad on the side. There was barely enough meat there for 1 person let alone 2. Have a bit of an issue with ex-dairy costing that much esp as an older animal there is so much more fat and grizzle. If we were coming again we’d avoid the steak completely.

Recommend trying for certain!
Set up is lovely, very atmospheric, the separation with curtain between the bar pre meal and the dining area makes you feel like you’re in an exclusive area.
The food: undeniably delicious however, truthfully quite expensive for what you get compared to other places in the city. We got the oysters which were lovely and fresh, bread which is fantastic but we weren’t keen on the virgin butter (tastes like French unsalted butter!) which comes as four slices, potato cakes nice, sea bass as a starter lovely and fresh, beetroot and jersey ricotta good, jersey tartare was a major success and the mussel rösti.
They kindly offered to turn some of the starters into mains as no vegetarian mains were on offer and mains were expensive albeit they were more for splitting between at least two people.
We got the shittake bolognese with yolk which was really nice but I would try something else next time. Not mind blowing. Grilled cabbage was delicious also, would be great as a starter for sharing.
Dessert was probably the best part of their menu. The sheep’s milk soft serve and madeleines to share between three was just absolutely stunning. Highly recommend.
Service is absolutely impeccable!
Wine great too, kindly offered tasters as any good restaurant should although I don’t think my glass specifically went as well with the food as I’d hoped.
Would be great as a date or a large group!!
