Was left a little underwhelmed after this dinner. Staff was nice and attentive but the food was under par for the prices. We went straight to get more food after we left because the portion sizes were extremely small and the quality was missing.

Go for the food, stay for the cocktails. 1950s steampunk chic. Swingy stools and chrome counters. Off a big cement parkade. It works but it shouldn't. The food, drinks, service and atmosphere are fantastic.

A tiny place offers fancy tapas dishes with a bit Asian/fusion touch. Food was delicious, especially loved the scallops, the beef tartar and the lentils. The black butter is rather interesting too. Staff was very busy but attentive and friendly.

Creative dishes and cocktails. Good wine list. Would recommend 5 dishes to share for 2 people. Decent price. Professional service.

Food is underwhelming and expensive. Good staff and wine

Lovely and creative dishes, although one definitely needs 2-3 courses per person as recommended, and had a light orange wine. The location, when walking up from outside (it’s essentially in a car park) made me a bit nervous but the atmosphere inside is excellent, so don’t let that scare you. A bit loud inside but overall an excellent experience.

Something went wrong with our reservation — they couldn’t find it in their system. Still, we were kindly seated at a window table. The place is very small but interesting. It was quite noisy, as the tables are set close together and the music was loud. We started with a lime and basil cocktail with wine, followed by trout, calamari, and potatoes. The cocktail was very interesting, though it felt like it had little alcohol. The trout was served in batter, which wasn’t very tasty. The calamari, however, was excellent — soft, very tender, served on a bed of potatoes. We finished with a passion fruit dessert, which was also interesting.

Great experience at Amy Austin! The lively bar stool seating and creative tapas made for a memorable night. Highly recommend for delicious food and exceptional service.

I recommend this place to everyone as it’s one of my favourites. But after booking and driving into town we were told on arrival that electricity had gone and they “attempted to phone” us. They then reassured us that they would not charge a no-show fee… firstly, mobile phones function fine using their battery power - a text would have been fine to let us know what was happening. Secondly, is not charging us a no-show fee supposed to be a gesture of good will?!? Really disappointed by this.

Tonight my wife and I experienced the best meal we have ever had. The service from start to finish was incredible and the wine we had (which was all on tap) complemented the food perfectly. The highlight dishes of the night were the steak tartare and the halibut. Could not recommend this place more if I tried. The food, the drinks and the service were all 5 stars!!!!
