I recommend this place to everyone as it’s one of my favourites. But after booking and driving into town we were told on arrival that electricity had gone and they “attempted to phone” us. They then reassured us that they would not charge a no-show fee… firstly, mobile phones function fine using their battery power - a text would have been fine to let us know what was happening. Secondly, is not charging us a no-show fee supposed to be a gesture of good will?!? Really disappointed by this.

Tonight my wife and I experienced the best meal we have ever had. The service from start to finish was incredible and the wine we had (which was all on tap) complemented the food perfectly. The highlight dishes of the night were the steak tartare and the halibut. Could not recommend this place more if I tried. The food, the drinks and the service were all 5 stars!!!!

Superb food in an unlikely, small, yet vibrant setting. Small sharing plates of top notch quality and seamless service by the fantastic team. Sitting at the pass or the windows is true theatre. Would highly recommend to adventurous foodies.

It's an EXPERIENCE. The dishes are spectacular. And they go with incredible drinks... We had a special evening from the moment we arrived. The staff was warm and attentive to every detail. A place we'll always return to.

This is a bit of a tricky review to write because the people here are genuinely awesome—super kind and incredibly attentive. The food is definitely good, and there’s no doubt that a lot of care goes into what they do. That said, the space is very cramped. If you’re seated against the wall, it can be hard to get comfortable, which affects the overall experience. One thing that really stood out was how fast the food came out—almost too fast. While efficiency is usually a plus, in this case it felt like the dining experience was a bit rushed. There wasn’t much time to settle in or savor the moment. The dishes themselves were tasty, but they didn’t quite blow me away. For example, the beef was overcooked, which surprised me considering how quickly it arrived. It made me wonder if a little more time in the kitchen might have elevated the dish even more. I feel conflicted saying this, because the service was incredibly prompt and friendly—how do you criticize something that’s too efficient? But I want to be honest: while it’s absolutely worth a visit and I’m glad I went, a few small adjustments could really enhance the overall experience

Starters didn’t hit the spot steak tartar bland no kick or seasoning. Mains looked great and tasted fine. Staff seemed preoccupied. From sitting down To leaving 45minutes wouldn’t be rushing back.

A truly exceptional dining experience! The star of the night was undoubtedly the octopus — perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. It’s clear the chef has real skill and respect for the ingredients. Every bite was a delight. On top of that, the service was outstanding: warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. A place where both the kitchen and the floor team shine. Highly recommended!

Amy Austin is an incredible experience. While small, it’s an open concept kitchen so you can see the very talented chefs at work. We sat right at the counter, which was fun to watch everyone at work. This is a small plates restaurant and they recommend 2-3 plates per person. We shared the bread and black garlic butter and potato cake, both phenomenal and packed with flavor (the crème fresche is very lime forward and just the right hit of tart that pairs perfectly with the spice of the potato). My husband got the beef tartare which he claimed was one of the best things he’s ever eaten. I then had the Fermented grains which had courgette, chickpeas, lentils, beans and a yogurt foam. It was so light and crisp, and was such an eclectic mix of textures. We finished with the summer passion (mango passion fruit and the lime/kefir cream all go so well together) and a cheese plate. The server kindly brought us out their other dessert because she wanted us to try it, the Dubai chocolate brownie, and it was decadent and absolutely stunning. As for cocktails, I had the Albariño Julep and it was exactly the refreshing drink I needed with my meal. Would highly recommend checking Amy Austin out if you’re in Dublin!

I would happily chirp about how great this place is. Staff made us feel at home One minor mistake (bringing the wrong dish to our table) was quickly fixed and comped with a free glass of wine and brownie (they fixed the issue so quickly it was unnecessary but it was lovely non the less) Eagerly hoping they rotate or change the menu so I can make the excuse to come again
