We were nervous to try this restaurant due to the mixed reviews it has received here and first impressions when we walked through the door were that it was going to be a cramped and uncomfortable meal. Luckily we were super wrong! From the first dish of sourdough and black garlic butter, we knew we were eating somewhere special! The flavours in each dish were sensational - particular highlights included the pork chop and the jerk comote. The dishes were complimented by excellent cocktails and the service was so warm and friendly. If I had to be picky, I'd say we didn't love the dessert but we had already been spoilt with five fabulous dishes by then. This is one of the best meals we've ever had and we can't wait to come back. Thank you to all Amy Austin!

Overall, a lovely dinner with six dishes in total four starters and two mains. Our favourites were the Smoked Hungarian Striploin and the 3 Cheese Foam, both full of flavour and really well executed. Atmosphere-wise, the space is very crowded and intimate. You bump into people coming in and out, and sitting at the end of the bar meant staff often brushed past us, but that’s probably the trade-off for a small spot. The noise level reflected the size of the room: lively and loud, but still JUST within a comfortable range. Unfortunately, the Angus Striploin main was tough and didn’t match the quality of the starters. Combined with the price point, it had a huge impact on the overall experience (as well as the noice and crowdedness), and ended the meal on a disappointing note.

This Michelin Bib Gourmand spot is cute and quaint, with great service and really fun modern-based food. The wine menu is really cool, displayed on the wall in big yellow tiles. If it’s on the menu when you visit, a must get: - Irish Pork Chop with plums and a mustard and whiskey dressing - Jerk Marinade Camote with almond cream - Three Cheese Foam

Had a delicious dinner at the kitchen counter. The blue matcha seabass was excellent, as were the 2 x vegetarian dishes. We had the Argentine Angus, which was excellent. Very good produce, well presented, excellent winelist (bottle and glass). Friendly staff. Moderate noise level, good for conversation. Intimate due to limited seating. Can only recommend.

Amazing little place. Food and drink were excellent although I wish there were more non-alcoholic options (one was out of stock, it happens). The service was great and attentive, and it’s very cozy inside. Great spot to people watch outside if you sit at the window!

Amy Austin was our favourite restaurant, and this was our fourth time going. Since we were last there the whole kitchen staff has changed, the menu has increased in price, while decreasing in quality. Our bill for 4 dishes plus bread and butter, was €110 (and €4 for tap water!) The steak was small and cold albeit good quality meat, which was even more disappointing. The sea bass was smothered in sauce to compensate for its small size. Then the quail and hamachi were just simply average. Nice flavour, but tiny and expensive. I’m just disappointed they continue to push this “small dish” “5-6 plates” narrative while increasing price significantly and the overall food quality has dropped. Unfortunately, we won’t be back.

Disappointing and overpriced experience. The portions are very small at an eye watering cost. The service was poor at times. The room is crowded and uncomfortable.

This is one of my favorite places in town. I’ve tried several of their different menus over time, and I always love coming back to see what’s new. I usually call ahead to check for availability since it’s a small space, and most of the seating is on stools around the counter and by the window. It’s perfect for a date or an intimate meet-up, so I definitely recommend booking in advance. The plates aren’t large, but they’re designed this way so you can try more — usually two or three dishes are plenty. The kitchen has a modern style, and their vegetarian options are exceptional; I’m not vegetarian, but I loved them. The host, Donovan, is always lovely and happy to offer recommendations for both food and wine pairings. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with soft lighting and a carefully curated music selection. The staff is exceptional, making every visit enjoyable. The wines on tap come from Winelab, which is a great concept, though I feel there’s room to improve the wine list and the selection by the glass.
