This is one of my favorite places in town. I’ve tried several of their different menus over time, and I always love coming back to see what’s new. I usually call ahead to check for availability since it’s a small space, and most of the seating is on stools around the counter and by the window. It’s perfect for a date or an intimate meet-up, so I definitely recommend booking in advance.
The plates aren’t large, but they’re designed this way so you can try more — usually two or three dishes are plenty. The kitchen has a modern style, and their vegetarian options are exceptional; I’m not vegetarian, but I loved them.
The host, Donovan, is always lovely and happy to offer recommendations for both food and wine pairings. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with soft lighting and a carefully curated music selection. The staff is exceptional, making every visit enjoyable.
The wines on tap come from Winelab, which is a great concept, though I feel there’s room to improve the wine list and the selection by the glass.

A lovely experience in Dublin.
The restaurant is tucked away next to the entrance of a carpark so it can be quite easy to miss.
The dining space is small and intimate.
Service was lovely.

Great quality ingredients and inventive food and menu. Some dishes amazing some really didn’t suit our palate and felt unbalanced.
Great cocktails and wine!

Wonderfully crafted dishes and sublime cocktails, well balanced, on level with 1661. Hope ghly reccomend for small plates and drinks.
Only slight let down was the smell of the car garage fumes.

3 things I loved about Amy Austin:
1) The venue.
Amy Austin is tucked away next to the ramp of a multi-story parking garage—yes, it sounds strange, but it works! The raw concrete ceiling creates a perfect contrast with the modern, slightly underground decor. The seats—only stools—are high but comfortable, thanks to the backrests. The open kitchen offers the almost hypnotic pleasure of watching the chefs at work, like a mini gastronomic performance.
2) The menu.
Thanks in part to the friendly company, I was able to sample five dishes: two fish, two meat, and one vegetarian. All were sophisticated, balanced, and beautifully plated. The one that surprised me the most was "Fermented Grains."
3) The cocktail.
Vesper in Reverse, a cocktail that paired perfectly with the fish dishes—less so with the meat ones. Fresh, elegant, capable of cleansing the palate and accompanying the meal without overpowering it.

Was left a little underwhelmed after this dinner. Staff was nice and attentive but the food was under par for the prices. We went straight to get more food after we left because the portion sizes were extremely small and the quality was missing.

Go for the food, stay for the cocktails.
1950s steampunk chic. Swingy stools and chrome counters. Off a big cement parkade. It works but it shouldn't. The food, drinks, service and atmosphere are fantastic.
