Anglers Rest in Dublin

Had lunch in anglers rest the staff were lovely attentive and friendly , the restaurant is really nice though I would have liked the option to eat at the bright bar area rather than the dark table to the rear of room it's really nice . The fish was good but not quite good enough for the 22€ price tag. The fish portion was quite small . The fish itself was fresh tasted good but I would have expected a little more of it .

Attended a family wedding here and loved it. Such an amazing venue , food was outstanding would definitely recommend and will absolutely be back.

Top g was the best. Great staff but glasses. Met famous local celeb and expert trucker Tony Spink.

Thanks to the staff that served us serving fresh creamy pints. Sadly he had to leave early for a darts competition but he delivered 10/10 service whipping up fresh pints when needed. Cannot express my gratitude enough and if you’re reading this sorry for the xxl ordering pints of coke. P.S. specs did not deliver 10/10 service.

As someone who works a lot in the Anglers Rest with Groove Machine Band, performing at a lot of weddings and functions, we decided to try it as a customer for a meal with family. And it was fantastic on every level. The welcome from Ollie and Lisa on arrival to every guest is homely and friendly. The atmosphere is beautiful. Cosy, rustic and charming. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, and Agi is one of the most heartwarming hosts you could meet. Service was superb and any alterations to the menu were catered for with zero fuss. The food was beautiful, a perfect mix of homely vibed cooking combined with amazing higher quality preparation and presentation. Beautifully fresh and portion sizes to perfection. All the table staff were attentive and super friendly. The whole experience was flawless and in also paying attention to other diners, it was clear we weren't being given any extra special attention due to pur frequent work there. Every guest received the same attention. This hidden gem deserves more than 5 stars . We WILL be more frequent diners. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic day. From the very first conversation, The Anglers Rest made us feel looked after. The planning and communication were excellent. Always checking details, always one step ahead, and totally reassuring throughout. On the day, the atmosphere was electric, the food was top class, and the staff brought such great energy. Went here for a wedding and the atmosphere and respect the staff gave to the guests and bridal party was top notch.

Lovely place for a Sunday lunch with friends or family. Food is very good. Service is well trained and attentive. Unfortunately every aspect of the venue is extremely un-wheelchair friendly. From the steep hill up from the carpark, to cars parked on the footpath all along the frontage, to the restricted passage and tables which don't have room for a wheelchair and table legs that limit wheelchair going close enough to the plate, it's just not worth the hassle if one of your party in in a wheelchair.

Amazing atmosphere. Very very obliging helpful staff and the food is totally delicious. Good kids menu. We were lucky to have live music when visited. Car park 2 minutes walk. Will definitely be back.

I was there for a Funeral lunch. The staff and service were very good. Anyone who has been to the Anglers rest knows what a lovely spot it is. There is a good car park but drop your elderly off by the door first. There is plenty of outdoor seats for warmer weather.
