We've been going to this Apache Pizza location for several years. The food is great, no complaints there. However, sometimes we get delivery to the house and most of their delivery drivers (8 out of 10 times) will pull into the drive, beep the horn, and wait for us to come out to their car to collect the food. It is about a 5-meter walk from their car to the front door, not unreasonable at all. We have also seen where they knock on the front door and run back to their car and sit in it, waiting for us to come over to it, which is really bizarre.
We are paying additional money for delivery. It is not a free service, so we shouldn't be expected to collect the food from their car. We have yet to approach their car when this happens, instead we remain standing at the front door waiting for them to bring the food over, which seems to annoy them. This is unacceptable and poor service from these individuals.
We get delivery from multiple places and those drivers always bring the food to the door, so I am not sure why Apache is different and expects the customer to leave their home to approach a stranger's car. Which is a shame because we do like to tip good delivery drivers, but we cannot justify tipping for poor service.
