Nice pastries and coffee 🥐 ideal for a sunny break at Sandymount Green

Delicious pastries with a greater selection available early in the day. Tends to run out later on. On a sunny day the outside seats are lively and much sought after especially in the summer when the road outside is closed and there is safe access between the park and the seating area for kids to run between.

Needs better wheelchair accessibility. A lovely woman who was in a wheelchair had to ask a stranger outside to go in and order a coffee for her because she couldn't enter due to the large step you need to go up to enter. It was a cold and rainy day and would have been nice for her to be able to sit inside for this. Pastries are great, would be nice if they had better vegetarian focaccia options.

Sourdough was best we’ve had, pastries top of the pops too.

Outstanding pastries, faultless. Coffee can be burnt / not as good unfortunately, but pastries are brilliant.

Probably the best pastry in Ireland. Try to arrive before 10am to get the full range of items. They have the classics, as well as unique creations (like a honey sea salt croissant). However, there was one Sunday when I arrived almost at closing and they still had lots of things, so don't let this stop you from going! The chai latte and hot chocolate were also exceptionally good. As of July 2023, they also have soft serve ice cream (with bits of croissant in it!).

Have been going there for the decent coffee, but seems to have gone downhill recently - a bit burned / overheated! Seems to be no system for coffee orders either - my coffee was given to another customer and was waiting awhile!

Stopped by for a quick coffee with my daughter. Sat outside as the weather was good. We ordered a couple of cappuccinos and they went down very well. Good service, no waiting. Recommended.

Overall giving 3/5 stars broken down as follows: Pastries 2/5 - Bread41 style pastries with the overly cooked (looks slightly burned?) style. Had the Swiss "Pain au Chocolate" which was meant to have custard in it. Found it just a little "wetter" than a usual Pain au Chocolate but no custard per se The cinnamon bun was VERY doughy and not much cinnamon could be seen/tasted. Took it home to have jam and cream cheese for flavour on it Coffee 5/5 - serving Pine Cone roasts. - Coffee had a lot of interesting notes and I thoroughly enjoyed it - the take out cup wasn't filled to the top unfortunately Service 4/5 - lovely girls working there, however you had to wait for coffee a bit
