We came here twice during our trip to Dublin. Once with a smaller group for an intimate dinner, and another night with our entire team of 40 people. The food was great, we had appetizers like bread and dips (mushroom, tahini, and two others), beet salad, yellowfin tuna, and gambas. Everyone was happy with their respective selections. For mains, the fish and the steaks were a great hit. I loved the ribeye steak and the fillet, both best served Medium rare.
The bar served some tasty cocktails, including a Whisky sour, a nice negroni, and old fashioned. The wine selection was also on point, we ordered a French Malbec that paired well with our steaks.
Most importantly, the staff took exceptionally great care of us, especially on the first night when we did not have a reservation and walked in closer to closing time. We stayed late and Ronan went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed.
I highly recommend Asador, will be back when we're back in town.

Everything was good. But the fillet steak was amazing. I had picanha which was good, but my husband's fillet was perfect. The barbecue wood fire really makes a difference in the taste. The starters were also very tasty especially the risotto with duck.

The food itself is good, however the reception is not at all pleasant, the receptionist is rude, doesn't greet you with "good evening" and is quite impolite.

Great staff with special attention for the detail, amazing food with real “umaminess”, and nice atmosphere. Highly recommended, high quality food here…We will back someday for sure.

Asador is a lovely restaurant with excellent food and a team that truly goes out of their way to make every guest feel welcome. The quality of the dishes is consistently high — fresh ingredients, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. It’s the kind of place where you can tell care and attention go into every plate.
That said, prices have definitely gone up over time, and while the quality still matches, it’s becoming a bit on the expensive side for what used to feel more balanced. The space itself is quite compact, and when the restaurant gets busy — especially with large groups — it can get a little too noisy, which takes away some of the charm.
Overall, Asador remains a great choice for those who appreciate top-quality food and friendly service in a central location, but it’s best enjoyed on a quieter evening when you can really savour the atmosphere.
