Absolutely fantastic experience! The tour guide was incredibly informative and engaging, bringing the history of Avoca to life with fascinating details. As someone who loves the history of technology and industry, I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the weaving process and the evolution of this historic mill. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in everything they do are truly impressive. I was also delighted to learn that the business's success was driven by three remarkable sisters, Emily, Winifred, and Veronica, whose strong and innovative vision from the early 1900s to the 1960s continues to influence the business today. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful place if you're in the area!
Stopped for a visit to the shop and all the goods were well displayed. Good selection and good quality. Bought some socks and then went to the cafe for a break and again good food and pleasant staff.
I'm not sure what is going on with this store, the food section is not what it used to be.
I found the food section a few weeks ago very limited compared to what it used to be.
Hopefully it was just a blip as it is a very good shop.
Visited shop at Ireland’s oldest mill, in Avoca, the land of the meeting of the waters and Ballykissangel. It was very interesting to walk around the mill and watch the men and women at their work and producing fabulous designs. Although quite expensive I would say they would last a life time.
