12/01/2025: We made a last minute reservation at the restaurant for a table for 4 on a Saturday night. No problem getting a table either on the bar or restaurant. Dining area is pleasant airy and well staffed. Senior staff manage the dining and bar service very well. A large menu with plenty of options for everyone’s taste. At least 10 starters / small plates and probably 20 main course options. I opted for a salad, which was lovely and fresh. Also ordered were the duck pancakes and spring rolls. The starter prices are in the high end but all decent size portions. Main courses I had grilled salmon with vegetables and sauce on the side. Again all tasty and fresh. Hake and pea risotto along with ribeye and scampi was ordered to the table. Everything got the thumbs up apart from The hake and risotto which was a little over done. Risotto is hard to keep fresh and had gone stodgy. To finish we had some coffees, (decent decaf) profiteroles and the rice pudding. Large portions particularly the rice pudding. all delicious. When we finished the meal we were also left to our leisure to finish our evening with closing drinks. No rush or pressure to leave. Overall we had a lovely leisurely relaxing meal.
