Awesome is a gem in the heart of Carrickmacross, serving coffee from expert roaster (roasts coffee in house), delicious bakes and always a kids hot chocolate for the little ones. Staff are top class, in a town where there is no shortage of coffee shops, this one stands out.

Def one of the top espresso barista made coffees in the area and even surrounding County's.. love the bring your own cup discount too. The place is roasty inside.. get in warm up, enjoy 👌

The girl at the till was so kind! We asked if they serve food, she told us they don’t and went out of her way to recommend a nearby cafe and even went outside to show us where to find it. We went back and ordered coffee and beans to go—which was amazing as well!

13/05/2026: We recently had our family occasion at the Shirley Arms Hotel. From Micheal, Faniche, and to all the bar staff and every young waitress/waiter are so welcoming, kind and attentive throughout the day. Its a credit to you all. The food was absolutely outstanding and everyone was complimenting it. Thank you all for making the occasion so memorable.
