A somewhat small restaurant, excellent food, and friendly staff

We had a fantastic meal at Baan Thai Ballsbridge. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere, with beautiful Thai décor that creates a warm and authentic dining experience. The food was outstanding. Everything we ordered was fresh, full of flavour and beautifully presented. I highly recommend the spare ribs—they were tender, packed with flavour and simply delicious. The chicken red curry was another highlight, with a rich, fragrant sauce and perfectly cooked chicken. The portion sizes are very generous, offering excellent value for money without compromising on quality. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into both the food and the overall dining experience. If you’re looking for authentic Thai food in Dublin, I can highly recommend Baan Thai Ballsbridge. We’ll definitely be back!

I have a personal rule when judging a Thai restaurant: skip the fancy analysis and order the Pad Thai. If they can’t get that right, nothing else matters. Thankfully, this place passed the test with flying colors. It came out fresh, steaming hot, and from the first bite to the last it was tastier than getting a tax refund you forgot you were getting. Then the duck showed up… and I understood why people rave about it. I figured maybe I just got lucky, so naturally I ordered a second duck for “scientific research.” The results were conclusive—it wasn’t a fluke. If my stomach had voted instead of my common sense, there would’ve been a third duck coming home with me in a takeaway box. Every dish tasted incredibly fresh, the flavors were spot on, and everything arrived hot. This is one of those rare restaurants where you start planning your next visit before you’ve even paid the bill. Highly recommended. Just don’t blame me if you leave wondering whether ordering a third duck was actually the responsible thing to do.

Fantastic food fantastic service ! Went for a second time with work colleagues and it genuinely one of the best experiences in a restaurant I’ve had. Food brought me on journey back to Thailand. Service was amazing with interactive chats and fast service.
