What a beautiful coffee shop!! The gentleman is so nice and the place is tidy... The decor is so sweet, lovely music in the background. Beautiful iced coffee and latte. Bathrooms were clean. I highly recommend it!!

Life is hard these days, isnt it? And every little bit of joy - especially on the cheap - is something worth embracing. In that spirit, there's a secret little cafe in Kells that everyone in the area should support, because it ticks all those boxes and then some. First, the food. It's great. As are the portions. Tasty and quickly prepared by Ben and Lily, while you wait. Look, we all know it, Kells doesn't have a lot of options. There's the chippers, and (the brilliant) Scullery No4 and the Bective...and that restraunt above the petrol station, and some fast food. SuperValu will make you a roll. That's about it. But all of those have something in common: they're expensive enough. And there's not a direct correlation between price and quality either, is there? A 20 euro burger can range from excellent to extremely mediocre. This is what makes Ben and Lily's so fantastic. The food is so much better than it has any right to be. Don't believe me? A coffee, a tuna melt, a quesadilla, and a huge slice of cake: 15 euro. Both mains come with sides (tuna melt has a salad AND coleslaw) as well. And they're very happy to put them in nice takeaway boxes. No fuss. Good luck finding anything similar in Kells, or Virginia, or Navan. There's of course a (small) catch: it's in an industrial park. It does have nice seating though - indoors and out - and the decor is quirky and welcoming. Nothing generic about the look, food or service. Give it a go. You won't regret it!
