Beshoff is a sure bet for enjoying the classic fish and chips dish in the best possible way. The food is exceptional and perfectly cooked. The service is clean and fast, and the staff are very friendly. The price is fair for the portion size. Beshoff, on O'Connell Street, Dublin, is always a great experience and a top recommendation for quality fast food. Congratulations, Beshoff!

As soon as we arrived in Dublin, we went to get a portion of fries. They were piping hot. We had curry sauce. It was a good meal. A bit pricey though (€7) but a generous portion.

Arguably the best fish i've ever eaten! my tour guide recommended it to us on our trip. i got the fried cod and mushy peas for takeaway and it was delicious! wanted to try the haddock but it was sold out!
Edit: I went back. I couldnt help it. I got the Haddock and it was delicious. Had it there this time and I cannot recommend this enough.

Excellent fish and chips. Quick service. The only thing that's unpleasant is the smell of fried food, but otherwise, it's excellent!

A nice atmosphere, very authentic to itself. Friendly and fast service, loved the staff. Unfortunately the food was a little bland, had the cod and chips, chips were absolutely amazing in texture, but taste was lacking, and the tartar sauce provided was carrying the flavors very hard. Cod was also rather bland, could use some more salt.

Our first dinner in Ireland was here, driven by the search for good, affordable fish and chips. Beshoff on O'Connell Street proved to be a great choice for our quick meal.
The fish was fresh and the batter quite crispy, just as we'd hoped. The fries were also plentiful and tasty. The portions were satisfying, and the price-quality ratio (€16.90) was excellent for a quick meal in central Dublin.
The atmosphere is definitely a bit too "fast food," but that's a minor detail considering we were looking for a quick, authentic, and unpretentious meal.
Overall, a very positive experience.

Food was a 2.5/5
Atmosphere was a 4/5
Service was a 5/5.
Tried the cod fish and chips recently, and overall it was a decent experience. The portion size was generous — definitely good value for what you pay. The service was friendly and efficient, which made the visit pleasant. However, the fish itself was a bit on the plain side — cooked well, but there was absolutely no seasoning or spice to bring the flavor out. A dash of salt or some light seasoning would have made a big difference. Good for a filling meal, but not for those looking for something flavorful.

Ate here for the gluten free options. I see what the other reviewers mean about lack of seasoning on the fish, which made it very bland indeed. However, it IS good quality fish and it was cooked well, moist and flaky, batter was perfectly crisp. I had the gluten free haddock and chips, and some gluten free onion rings. As someone with celiac, I don't usually get the opportunity to eat fried food due to risk of cross contamination, so I made the most of it. It is a really safe place to eat as a celiac, staff are knowledgeable and the kitchen is set up for this properly, so I recommend to anyone who is also in the celiac boat. It is pricey though. The staff were helpful, especially the guy serving and running up and down those stairs. Is it the best fish and chip shop in Dublin? No. But it does the job. Would recommend if you are either celiac and need something safely gluten free or if you are just desperate to eat in that area of Dublin.

We had dinner there on our first day in Dublin. The battered cod was very good and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
