Even though it gets busy, the service was well managed and attentive. Lovely historic interior, good tea selection, and fresh pastries. A classic Dublin cafe experience worth slowing down for.

We came for the tea experience. It was a little confusing at first. We didn't know how to order the waitress got snippy.
It just wasn't clear.
Then after we ordered it turned around.

You'll be hard pushed to beat the atmosphere in this place. Elegant doesn't begin to describe it. Plus super friendly service, great food and coffee.

Today we we're on the hunt for a full Irish. So we headed to nation-famous and highly recommended, Bewleys.
The food was found lacking. I ordered eggs Benedict without hollandaise and what I got was two sides of an English muffin dryer that a sandy flip flop and some not quite done poached eggs. On the side was an actual pile of about eight rashers, anemic looking, tougher than jerky, and cold. I couldn't eat them they made me feel nauseous just looking at them.
To try and reclaim some satisfaction I ordered an almond croissant as I could see piles of freshly baked ones stacked neatly but hell, they must have picked me out the only one that was burned. It was tougher than the bacon, and any frangipane that was once inside had disintegrated. Honestly, the best thing about this place was the decor—very 1920’s—and the tea. I wouldn't go back and eat, but the tea was a refreshing blend of breakfast leaves and came in a silver pot. Have to be honest though, for a breakfast that cost almost €80 for two it left me disappointed for the whole day.

Wonderful place to have a nice hot drink. The decor is incredible. Such a beautiful old building. Staff were lovely and very efficient. Worth a visit even just for a drink. Didnt have food, but the breakfasts especially looked amazing.

Síofra was wonderful, the food was tasty and there was a vegan option for dessert. We had a great table and even though the café was full, it wasn't too noisy. We were left to enjoy our food and coffees and not rushed out. 100% will come back.
