From the moment we stepped in, we were really well looked after. Our table was next to the open kitchen, which we really enjoyed. The service was personal and professional. The food was excellent: well presented and well balanced, full of interesting flavors. We can recommend the duck arancini and the mushrooms on toast, as well as the Irish seafood bowl and the scallops. We were full but couldn't resist trying the desserts, which didn't disappoint either! We highly recommend Big Mikes and will be back for sure.

They have a nice indoor terrace here which is where I was sat for lunch. Very impressive setting and furniture. I opened up with a spicy mango margarita which was delicious. The spice was strong and went well with the mango. Onto the Carlingford Oysters. They were served with a chilli paste and drizzle. Not anything I had before but….the combination was unreal. A great surprise. Onto the surf and turf and another margarita. Very very generous portions and the first place in Dublin that actually cooks food properly ie not heavy well done. The cockles, muscles and prawns were delicious. Sea bass fantastic. The steak was cooked to perfection and can 3 ways which was a nice surprise again. They actually explore flavours and make an effort to impress and surprise. My best meal in Dublin this summer by far. Well worth making time to go here.

Been very loyal to Big Mikes (and predecessor Michael’s). Something felt off my most recent trip. The front of house asked the name of the booking 4 times between entrance and getting to our table. Had the prawn starter (mussels weren’t on the menu), which was very average - your mother’s prawn cocktail vibes, cold and with a bit of greens but not special flavours. Quality of the prawns were impeccable. Sharing steak for main lived up to the usual quality. Friday evening and a lot of empty tables around, wait staff were slightly slow catching our eyes. My side plate for the steak came dirty - replaced no problem.

Ann's Bakery

12/04/2026: This is my go-to place for lunch every weekend. I am always impressed by the kindness of the team. Specially, there is a female staff member who I think is Chinese she is outstanding. She is patient, understands customer needs deeply and handles every request with a smile. Her service is the heart of this place

Tenters Gastropub

19/06/2026: 5/5 Stars | A Standout Dublin Experience! My son and I visited The Tenters Gastropub during our first trip to Dublin, and it was an absolute highlight. The atmosphere here is fantastic. It strikes a perfect balance, giving you that classic, welcoming Irish pub warmth but with a sleek, slightly upscale modern finish that sets it apart from other traditional spots in the area. It feels premium but completely comfortable and unpretentious. The food was top-tier. We ordered the fish and chips, and they were outstanding: perfectly crispy batter, fresh fish, and excellent chips. Whether you are a local or a tourist exploring Dublin for the first time like us, this place is a must-visit. Great vibes, brilliant food, and stellar service. We will definitely be back on our next trip!
19/06/2026: We were looking for a good place to eat near Teeling Distillery before our tour started. Tenters Gastropub was found by chance through Google Maps suggestions. And we must admit that we did not regret taking the suggestion. From the outside, the place looks like a small and pretty corner pub, but inside you will find renovated and comfortable restaurant spaces. The service was friendly and fast. The meals were the tastiest. A very good find. We recommend it.
