BIGFAN in Dublin

This was a restaurant I knew I wanted to make sure I visited during my time in Dublin and it was just as good as I’d hoped! My cocktail was gorgeous and all the dishes we ordered arrived quickly yet still beautifully plated. For a trendy place that could easily stand to be pretentious, the staff was instead kind, friendly, and helpful with suggesting different items to try. We really enjoyed the Wu Ya bao, cheeseburger jiaozi, Taiwanese fried chicken, and pork ribs, among others. I am a big fan of BIGFAN, the team here absolutely deserves all the recognition they’ve been receiving lately!

Amazing food, amazing people and vibes!

My partner treated me to dinner last week and had a wonderful experience. I suffer from quite a few allergies and our server Luke made it very clear highlighting which items on the menu i could have as well as what could be substitute in certain dishes to accommodate for me. I don’t know the name of the Brazilian girl bringing the food to our table but she also did a great job pointing out the allergens of dishes that came to the table unlike almost any other restaurant we’ve been to in the city in recent times. The food was excellent as well, made only better by the service! The music was loud but at a good level, people talking around made it a bit difficult to hear at times though. Will be back again!

Delicious, creative, and friendly. An amazing restaurant making some of the best food I've had. This is a must try. The enoki mushroom fan is a definite highlight, but every dish was unique, spicy, and delicious. Go hungry, order a lot, try the innovative cocktails, and enjoy one of the best spots in town. I can't compliment them enough. Service was also a huuuuuge plus.

I absolutely love Big Fan in Dublin. The food is genuinely delicious and I strongly recommend trying everything on the menu. I’ve loved every dish I’ve had, along with the drinks, and I’m there at least once a month. The staff are very friendly, and although the place can get quite noisy, it’s clearly because everyone is having a great time. My favourite dish is the black dumpling. Overall, it’s one of my favourite restaurants in Dublin and I would highly recommend it.

Visited on the 14th of February. Was extremely busy but the team really looked after us and made this visit a wonderful experience.

I dunno, I wasn't blow away, nor was it outright bad, it just felt like the faintest whispers of Chinese flavors trying to come through, as if a spice ghost was blowing lightly on it. None of the dishes made me go, holy crap! I just went, "meh that's okay..." to all six plates I'd ordered. I've had great Chinese dishes around the world and most had deep layers of spice and flavor and fragrance to them (not necessarily salt but rather the spices and chillies and all the various supporting ingredients), I just didn't find that here. Dublin has a great a-la-carte small plate food scene and I thought this would be joining that but perhaps it caters more towards lighter Irish tastes than Asian 🤷

We visited BIGFAN tonight and honestly it’s the best meal I’ve had in Dublin. From the second you walk in, the atmosphere is amazing. The food was absolutely incredible. Every dish was packed with flavour and so thoughtfully done you can really tell how much care goes into the menu. The duck wings, soup dumplings and enoki mushrooms were incredible but somehow ever topped the last. Perfect for sharing because you end up wanting to try everything. What really made the experience though was the staff. Everyone was so welcoming, attentive and genuinely lovely, which made the whole night feel relaxed and fun from start to finish. It’s rare to find somewhere with food this good that also nails the atmosphere and service so perfectly. The host was amazing, our waiter Tassio was so kind and gave such good recommendations and the server for tonight was so fun! Also the cocktails are amazing. We already have our next table booked for Friday!
