10/07/2026: Delicious coffee. Quite busy mid morning.
07/07/2026: A few years ago, a friend who does not even like coffee and does not live in Dublin told me, “You have to try Brew lab.” Because he was not a coffee person, I did not take the recommendation seriously. I assumed it was just another commercial coffee shop and skipped it.
Months later, I happened to be nearby and finally walked in. I still remember that first feeling. The moment I stepped inside, I felt the spirit of the place. There was something special about Brew lab even before I tasted the coffee.
I walked to the bar, ordered a coffee, and met Arvind. From that first day, he never made me feel like a customer. He treated me like a friend. We talked, shared our love of coffee, and I enjoyed every second I spent there.
That first visit turned into countless more visits, conversations, and memories. From that day until my last in Dublin, Brew lab had a special place in my heart.
Arvind and his wife Renata became like family. Sean, David, Ali, Hoi, Arthur, and the whole team gave the place its soul. Brew lab was never just about great coffee. It was about the people, and the feeling of walking through the door knowing you belonged.
Leaving Dublin meant leaving many things behind, but saying goodbye to Brew lab was one of the hardest. I came in for coffee and left with friendships and people I will always consider family.
Brew lab will always be part of my story in Dublin.
