Brass Onion Bistro in Dublin

Lovely local restaurant with very friendly staff

Attended a wedding reception at the Brass Onion in July 2026. The starter was a nice light salad. The main course of Chicken was superb. The wedding cake was of Brazilian origin and luscious. I simply cannot recommend the Brass Onion enough. My compliments to staff for a fantastic meal.

I wish I could give 10 stars!!! We had our wedding reception yesterday (03/07/26), and it was absolutely incredible. The food was delicious! It was so lovely to hear so many compliments from our family and friends about the food, the service, and the entire experience. A huge thank you to Chef Wellington, Cassio, and Pedro—you guys are amazing! And thank you to all the staff for being so friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout the day. I can't recommend this place enough. If you're considering it, my answer is: yes, yes, yes—a thousand times yes!!! ❤️

Really good fish n chips with a great atomsphere and awesome staff

We came here for brunch and had a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and the quality to price ratio was excellent. The place was clean, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Everything we ordered was fresh and full of flavor. We will definitely be back, and next time we'd love to try the sushi. Highly recommended!

Truly delicious menu. Friendly service, and options for gluten-free. We were also grateful for clean water closet and parking nearby.

We hadn’t been here for a couple of years and when one of us suggested it we all remembered how lovely the staff were. Delighted to say that nothing has changed. The food was great and the staff even better. We will be regulars again for sure. Can’t wait to go back.

We were 6. We ordered the seafood Duo - prawns and calamari- for starters and we were not disappointed. Then 5 of us ordered the fillets of halibut with vegetables and roast baby potatoes. This was a delicious surprise with lots of creamy beautiful halibut. There was a salsa with it but the halibut was so good we were afraid that the salsa might dilute the flavour. All five agreed that this was the best fish dish we had eaten in a long time. Desserts were a kind of Eaton mess which was very good and an equally good banoffi. But the delicious fresh and perfectly cooked halibut stole the show. Well done Brass onion. The service was excellent and very friendly as usual. The glasses of Verdejo white Wine from Rueda were very good at the price. A great little spot. Don’t miss it. Highly recommended.

A Lovely Restaurant with very pleasant staff. A good Menu with plenty to choose from. We enjoyed our Lunch and we eat out side in a Covered area.
