Brook's Cafe in Dublin

20/03/2024: A great local chipper. I ordered a Smoked Cod - a good portion, tasty, NOT greasy and the nice lady threw in a few chips. They were very friendly. While I was there a couple of kids came in for I'm not sure if it was dinner or tea, they were well looked after, one had a picket full of change, another had exactly the right money and their mate had his mother's credit card, he was known by the shop. I got take-away there since about fifty-five years ago when coming home after midnight from working as a lounge boy in the White Horse, the Macari's owned it then - they come from a place in Italy called Montanessio (probably wrong spelling) they too were a lovely family.

23/01/2024: My family have been eating in this chipper long before i was ever born even now that i dont live in the area anymore i still get food here wen im passing
