Bunsen in Dublin

Really wanted a burger, and this Bunsen delivered. Got a booth quickly, the menu was simple to order from, and got a burger and fries the way I wanted them. Food tasted great, service was pleasant, and other than take-away lurkers hovering over me while I was trying to eat it was a great spot to take a break and get a good burger.

Nice restaurant specialised in burgers. They also have a variety of fries that you can order, which was very cool. There aren’t any vegetarian burger options, but the fries are vegetarian. They have counter and table seating, and they serve their meals pretty fast. If you are looking for a quick meal or some good fries in Dublin, Bunsen is the restaurant for you!

Very delicious and simple burgers. You can only choose between normal, cheeseburger, and add one more meat. The additions are typical: pickles, lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise. The cameras speak in Spanish, they give you a free bottle of water upon arrival. Alright.

Burger was just okay. The milkshake was so sad though, don't come here if you're expecting a thick, flavorful milkshake. The vanilla just tasted like milk. 🥲

Great burger. They could level up their game by adding some options for sauces with chips. Not a fan of the service. Also service was a bit slow for a light customer base at the time.

There’s a few options to choose from but they are all solid. I ordered cheeseburger and my partner had cheeseburger and fries — 10/10! I like that they asked how you’d like your burger to be cooked because we prefer it well done. Will definitely be coming back

Bunsen consistently serve great burgers, making them my favourite burger chain in Dublin. The menu is simple and comes in the size of a business card. I ordered the cheeseburger with shoestring fries, which were served quickly. The place is small so it can easily get packed on a weekend evening. Luckily they have a table booking system on their website.

Bunsen definitely lives up to the hype when it comes to their burgers. The patty was juicy, perfectly cooked to order, and the toppings were simple yet delicious. Honestly, the double cheeseburger itself was a solid 5-star experience. However, the hand-cut fries were a real letdown. They tasted like they'd been sitting around for a while and then quickly reheated. They were lukewarm, had a slightly burnt flavour, and lacked any real freshness. It genuinely felt like we were served leftover fries, which was disappointing considering the price point. To top it off, the service was a bit slow. Our food took longer than expected to arrive, especially considering the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. Overall, Bunsen offers a fantastic burger, but the poor quality of the fries and the slow service bring the experience down significantly. If they could sort out their sides and speed things up, this place would easily be a 5-star joint. For now, it's a 3 out of 5. Go for the burger, but maybe skip the fries.

Great burger, truly amazing — that meat really had that proper beef flavor! I loved every single bite, and the fries were just as good. Very reasonable prices and fairly quick service, depending on how busy it is. We waited a bit to be seated without a reservation, but that was fine. The only downside is the place itself — pretty basic and quite narrow.
