My fav place to go for a hot chocolate. Always had a great experience with this spot, can be a bit busy. Great and nice staff!

The drinks looked good, but unfortunately they didn’t taste as good as we expected. The hot chocolate was quite bland, and the coffee was just average. The location is nice if you want to sit by the window and watch the city go by, but overall the experience was a bit disappointing. We expected better quality for the price.

I love Butlers, BUT Gabriel on Dawson street has to stop bossing his colleagues around asking them to pass things to him that are well within his reach, also interrupting his colleagues while they are trying to serve the customers. It was painful to watch, as I felt sad for the girl who had to take orders, make shots and ALSO point out and pass things to Gabriel every few seconds.

Strong hot chocolate tastes even less chocolatey than a regular hot chocolate and that’s comparing to other Butler’s locations. Updated. Added a star. Was contacted. Seemed genuine with me.

The coffee is amazing! I really love the mocha and the staff are always very friendly and welcoming. However, the last three times I ordered a mocha it seemed much milkier than usual, so the flavor wasn’t as strong as it usually is.

29/09/2026: A very mixed experience overall. The Hot Honey Fried Chicken and Saku-Saku Duck Soba Teppanyaki were the standouts. Both had really good flavour and I would order again. The Beef Brisket & Kimchee Gyoza and Chicken Katsu Curry were decent but fairly average and similar to anywhere else. The Hoisin Pulled Duck Buns, however, were really disappointing. They had very little filling (more cucumber than duck) and lacked any flavour. Overall, a couple of really good dishes, but the rest were fairly mediocre. Not sure I’d go rushing back here.

10/06/2026: I absolutely loved this place, the most unique I've ever visited in Dublin! I walked past it several times during my last stay, almost not noticing, but it was a real surprise. Dinner required a reservation at least a day in advance through the website (I'd tried to get in the night before, but it wasn't possible without a reservation), but it was totally worth it. We ordered a fillet steak and half a roast chicken, all accompanied by sides and fries, and everything was delicious! The place also has a unique atmosphere and several truly unique rooms and corners, making dinner here an experience in every way. This will definitely be a restaurant I'll return to!
