Butlers Chocolate Café, Wicklow Street in Dublin

One of the most famous chocolate store and cafe in Dublin, but it’s obviously too busy and noisy for a drink here.

Good cup of hot chocolate, but it tastes too sugary sweet for me.

There was a time when it was difficult to find a good cup of coffee in Dublin. That time is now well past, with places like Butlers Chocolate Cafe that offer wonderful coffee, like the cappucino I enjoyed there this morning along with a pecan tart. The place was jumping and seating was hard to find, an indicator of how good its products are. Fortunately, I found a good outside table and enjoyed sipping my coffee, nibbling my tart, and watching shoppers and tourists walk by.

My must to go place while visiting Dublin. Staff is friendly and nice.

Lovely hot chocolate and excellent chocolate treats! I bought one and enjoyed it so much that I had to buy four more just to be sure they were as good, and they were. The only downside is the limited seating. Most of the tables were taken by people working on their laptops with just a small coffee or even just a bottle of water. Two people were each occupying separate tables, and when we left, they were still there. I understand needing a quiet place to work, but perhaps a larger café or even a library would be more suitable. Maybe management could do something to make sure tables are available for customers who actually want to sit and enjoy their drinks and food.

Cool place. I expected thicker chocolate, but I also like the Praline hot chocolate. I recommend the chocolates; they're delicious. I didn't have time to take a picture.

I cafè di Butlers stanno aumentando sempre di più in città. Data la grande popolarità, il brand riesce a mettersi in competizione con le principali caffetterie internazionali e a ritagliarsi sempre più spazio. Per quanto la cioccolata di Butlers (e nemmeno il loro caffè) non sia la mia preferita, trovo molto bello questo posto, che insieme ai due cafè dei due terminal dell’aeroporto, è il più elegante e meglio strutturato tra quelli che si trovano in città.
