Caffrey's in Batterstown

Found this on the way to Trim Castle. Just went in for a quick lunch and was surprised at the elegance of the pub. We ordered fish and chips and it was fantastic. The cod was so tender and fresh and the batter was thin and crunchy. The staff were very friendly and happy to help. We went there rather late for lunch so it wasn't very busy, but I have no doubt during normal lunch and dinner hours it's vibrant.

Lamb Shank was the best ever. Guinness was delicious also

Very good quality of food and quantity for the price. Orange juice was included with breakfast. The restaurant was very cozy and clean both outside and inside. Highly recommended!

It's been a few years since I was in here , called in for food passing through , a great pint and a great steak sandwich !!!

Such a lovely pub! Had the roast beef and it was beautiful. Definitely a new favourite country pub to add to the list
