Our friends took us here while visiting them in Carrickmacross and said this is the best place to go and try your first Guinness. 5 pints of Guinness later, and they were not wrong. It's a really cool pub with very welcoming and friendly staff.

Hughes’ Coffee Shop

26/05/2025: Beautiful cafe to stop at either for a quick (delicious) coffee or the best hot chocolate you could ever have!! Got a treat for the road but I wish we had time to grab a loaf of bread for sandwiches! 10/10

01/10/2023: The staff where excellent and very in tune , I brought my parents for a meal and my father is elderly. They were lovely how they treated him with respect and dignity when at times he was struggling to communicate.
