It cannot be compared to Carluccio in Istanbul. The food is ordinary, it's on the main street in the center, but the atmosphere inside is like a cafe.

We have a fab dinner here in Aug. My wife is GF, so we had GF pasta dishes..Great service and really nice atmosphere. Very reasonably priced too.

Cheap and cheerful, works, don't expect anything too fancy

When looking for something different from pub food, this is a refreshing change of pace. After an all-day tour, we popped in late, requesting a table for two. They were quite accommodating, even with only 20 minutes to close. We started with a Peroni, red wine, and garlic mozzarella focaccia. Skip the Peroni and grab a glass of wine, but do NOT sleep on the focaccia. It was phenomenal! For our meals, we chose the lasagna and the Penne Giardiniera. The lasagna was the perfect comfort food layered with sauce, cheese, and beef. The tomato sauce was smooth, with just the right texture, not too many tomato chunks, and the béchamel sauce was the perfect complement. I would have liked one additional layer of baked mozzarella on top. The penne was light and flavorful, featuring fun spinach balls, a unique touch we highly recommend trying. The best part? The fresh grated cheese! Even our waiter stopped by to ensure we received this service, which added to the experience. Unfortunately, we were too full to enjoy dessert this time, but we’ll save room on our next visit!

We came here as a group of 4 for dinner on Saturday evening, I had Carluccio's on my list for quite a while! We arrived about 10 minutes before our booking, there was no host at the door/designated area. We stood there for about 10 minutes before another member of staff came over and said the host would be with us shortly. A girl came in and stood in front of us (the area to wait is very small!) But when the host eventually arrived to the desk about 15 minutes later she was greeted and shown to a table first! The host casually walked back toward the door and I actually had to flag their attention as they weren't coming to greet us?! Once we were eventually seated a lovely server came to our table with water and menus. The servers during our meal were all lovely and pleasant but service was very slow. We ordered Bruschetta to start which was lovely, the portion could have been larger, but it was really tasty. I ordered the lasagne and a side of fries which was absolutely delicious and perfectly portioned! The dessert menu wasn't overly impressive, I ordered the mini doughnuts and a coffee (3 very tiny doughnuts - which tasted delicious, but you're kind of paying for the coffee rather than doughnuts!) We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the bill was reasonable for 4 in Dublin City Centre but I was so disappointed in the service! To be left standing at the door with no sign of the host for over 20 minutes, and to have to flag their attention to even be greeted (without an apology for delay!), virtually ignored, is just unacceptable. We couldn't fault the food at all, and were the service not so disappointing I would absolutely return but currently I would not be rushing back or recommending Carluccio's over other locations on this busy street!

The hostess greeted us at the last minute before the restaurant was about to close the kitchen. She was very kind and still let us come in for dinner . We made a quick decision on the pasta carbonara and spaghetti marinara. Both were very good. Decent size. Made well for the price. Our server had the usual gentle Irish humor, and we ended with a glass of port. This was an impulsive visit off the street. We would definitely go back. Regardless of some of the negative reviews that we read online after we got there. Restaurants have their good days in their bad days. Ours was most definitely on a very good day!
