Very well located for a surrounding visit especially for the local historical attraction or the walk in the valley between the 2 lakes. For the rest, it could be done a little better... dated decor, limited menu and passable cuisine. Could do better… let’s go, we believe it!!!

“In its own juice” is what jumps out at you upon entry. It can please, of course, but so does the cooking. The dishes are expensive for the quality. I'm still trying to figure out why my salad was called Caesar: not enough to triumph with a few salad leaves, 3 pieces of bacon and a little chicken for €18. Ditto for the sandwich and soup worthy of a highway restaurant. A good mark for the efficient and smiling waitress.

Dropped in on a whim to visit the relics. The beef was delicious. The turkey and dressing sandwich was tasty but not as described. They should consider doing it as an open faced “sandwich “ and double the amount of turkey/cranberry and actually add some dressing.The dessert was was an absolute abomination to my taste buds. I actually spilt it into a napkin. Eliminate it from the menu and it would only enhance the menu. (It was “something mess…I do not remember)

The O'Donnell's crisps are a must try.

I went spontaneously at 2pm on a Saturday, so quite busy but they still managed to find a nice table for me. The servers were quick and friendly and the food was delicious (irish sausages). Can absolutely recommend!

Great establishment! Very tasty food, great beer, fast service and wonderful people.

Staying at the Glendalough Hotel for the whole weekend and ate here two nights in a row and it was fabulous. The pork belly was melt in your mouth and beautifully seasoned, the chicken supreme had the most glorious mushroom sauce I've ever tasted. in two nights we were never disappointed and the staff were always ready and willing to see to every need.

It's our first time at glendalough hotel. The bar/restaurant was exceptional!!! Michael who served us, was so attentive and even remembered how we took our drinks and made sure we were happy throughout while still giving us our time together. Fast service.. friendly service and we absolutely will be back.. worth the trek from Belfast!! Still full from the food
