We had a lovely lunch in the Emo café last Saturday, staff so welcoming+friendly. Food was delicious +atmosphere was very relaxed, efficient +well managed. My only 2 negatives wld be the crampt area the staff are working in +the gift shop, very disorganised, expensive +no one managing till or stock.

Really enjoyed lunch here on Tuesday, food was very nice and fresh, great variety. We had soup, vegan panini, chicken panini, cake and coffee. Staff were very friendly and helpful, they were in and out cleaning tables and asking if anyone needed anything else, I noticed them going back in to get napkins and cutlery for a customer who forget to bring them out, they also provided water for dogs in the courtyard.

I was served by two young girls who are sisters. Both of them were so friendly and so welcoming. Definitely the best service i have had in a long time, really made the experience. Lovely coffee, will be back again.

We were here today and had a lovely lunch sitting outside, we then went for a walk and returned for coffee and cakes. The cakes were very nice and filling so we asked if could get a takeaway cup for one of the coffees as we wanted to continue to enjoy it as we took in the grounds. However we were told there has to be a 30 cents charge for the cup due to being the only way stock could be tracked. In all between lunch and coffees/cakes we spent just under 50 euro and this interaction left a sour taste on what had otherwise been a great experience.

All around it was really nice, sandwiches were very nice and filling, the cakes and selections of cakes were on point. Staff very friendly overall a great experience 👍

Love this place however it's a bit of a disappointment when the service staff are very unfriendly and unhelpful. There was no tongs available to get the sugar the milk jug on the table was dirty and no brown sugar readily available. 😢 I would have given 5 stars if I had been made feel welcome and appreciated as a customer.

03/06/2026: We stayed two nights with our two young children. We ate here both nights for dinner, and the food was great value. My only criticism would be not having a wine menu, but the wines were ok. We also ate breakfast twice. Seasonal and well prepared foods all around and the service is excellent. Proper hollandaise sauce on the eggs benedict, and those Wilmott sausages are the best I've had in Ireland. A huge shoutout to Evan who served us twice at breakfast. He provides impeccable service and went out of his way to accommodate us and our demanding almost-two-year-old daughter. But also everyone else was great. I would highly recommend staying at the hotel and eating here.
23/05/2026: One of the nicest dishes I’ve ever eaten!! I had the vegan sushi rolls and my husband had the chicken curry, both absolutely delicious ❤️❤️
