Just now, we were simply passing by this restaurant, used the restroom briefly, and casually ordered a plate of stir-fried beef noodles. Unexpectedly, it turned out to be the best Chinese food I've had in Dublin, and perhaps even in all of Ireland. I remember Cai Lan saying, "You can tell a chef's skill level by their stir-fried beef noodles." I wholeheartedly agree. This is also a common saying in Cantonese cuisine. Stir-fried beef noodles may seem simple, but it truly tests a chef's fundamental skills: heat control, wok hei (the smoky aroma imparted by the wok), tossing the wok, the use of oil, and the amount of soy sauce; the rice noodles must be whole, not sticky, and not broken, and the beef must be tender. I'd give this restaurant's stir-fried beef noodles a 99 out of 100. It was incredibly flavorful, the rice noodles were dry and intact, the beef was tender, and the saltiness and oil were just right. After eating it, I couldn't help but think: if a seemingly ordinary stir-fried beef noodle dish can be made to this standard, the other dishes must be just as good. Even better, the price was very reasonable. Compared to other Asian food, it truly deserves its value for money. We only stopped by to use the restroom and ordered beef chow fun. To our surprise, it was the best Chinese dish I’ve had in Dublin—or even Ireland. As Tsai Lan said, “Beef chow fun reveals a chef’s skill.” This one deserves 99/100: smoky, dry, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Reasonably priced and truly delicious—an unexpected highlight of our Ireland trip.

The food isn't anything special, but if you need some electrolytes (+ plenty of glutamate) after a few pubs at night, this place is perfect.

Hands down, the best Nasi Lemak in Dublin. The portion size and aroma/spiciness are even better than some of the ones I've had in our home country. Totally unexpected for a restaurant that largely seems to serve takeaway kinda dishes to cater to the non-Asian demographic. The receptionist seemed fed up with her job, there was no response whatsoever even when I complimented the dish to her in our native language. Considering the kind of customers that often walk into the shop (in town and beside a nightclub), I suppose she can't afford to be too mellow and friendly.
