Chavalees Cafe in Dublin

A lovely brunch spot in Blackrock. The food and drinks are very tasty but where Fig really shines is the service; the staff are so friendly and enthusiastic and make coming here a great experience!

The food is lovely and the setup of the restaurant is very pleasant. All of the servers are very friendly and attentive. My one issue would stem with the door being open constantly. If it’s not 20 degrees out, it brings a draft into the restaurant and freezes everyone inside. Despite this they are adamant on keeping this door open no matter the weather. Otherwise a nice experience

Always delicious and great service

Lovely brunch spot. The staff are absolutely lovely and the food is delicious (best cheese and onion toastie I've had in a while). I have to say, do miss the older look of the restaurant over the newer contemporary style, but that's just personal preference!

Nice place, beautiful ambience and tasty food!!

The scones & coffee were very nice . However was a little distasteful of the staff member to say “ because you are ordering just scones & coffee , we will need the table back in 30 minutes , our coffee shop is down the road”. This remark made me feel sad & I would not be keen to return to a business with this attitude .

Had a delicious brunch - would highly recommend the Brioche French Toast!

Food is fabulous, unexpectedly good for brunch. Service is excellent, staff are very friendly.

The good: The food and coffee was very nice. Some of the best hash browns I've ever had - I'll definitely go back for those. They were a very pleasant surprise. The scones, jam and cream were really nice too (especially for the price) and are worth ordering. The staff was friendly and the service was good. The bad: A bit shocking to see the alternative milks for coffee are €0.95 extra which is double of what most places charge. Also, the place was quite loud. It was reasonably busy (not full) so some noise is expected, but the biggest source of noise was the staff loudly chatting between themselves which was a bit distracting.
