GREAT FOOD! The food was delicious and the staff was friendly! The sticky pudding was really good for dessert.

Besides eating delicious food, the outstanding service we obtained from Joe topped off our last evening in Dublin before returning to Australia; Joe knows what proper customer service is and most importantly, his approach and workmanship was genuine. Thank You for making our dinner so special and delightful!

Second time going there as the first time was brilliant. Even though there was a mix up with our reservations (caused by us), the staff quickly made an adjustment to fit us in. Food, amazing; staff, exceptional; location, brilliant.

Had a brilliant dinner at Chequer Lane. The steak was spot on—perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. Scallops were delicious too, really fresh and nicely done. We had a bottle of amazing Malbec that tied everything together perfectly. The staff were genuinely lovely—friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience even better. Great vibes all around. Huge fish on wall made me jealous.

Best meal in Dublin! We arrived shortly before close and were graciously seated. I had the Waldorf salad and my husband had the rib eye. The service was impeccable and we were served our meals promptly. My husband really enjoyed his steak, which was cooked perfectly. My salad was quite simply the best salad I’ve ever had! The perfect end to a great day in Dublin. Thank you

Good food. Bench seating is deep and has poor back support if you're not tall.

Set menu is pricey for what you get. Having said that - did not go home hungry.

Wonderful meal at Chequer Lane. We had the scotch egg and vol-au-vent starters which are always a winner, followed by the tortellini and chicken mains. Really good. The Cigarettes & Coffee cocktail is to die for. But, as good as all of that is, the team really make this a special place. They are second to none. I highly recommend this restaurant.
