Chequer Lane by Jamie Oliver in Dublin

Intrigued more by the fame of the TV personality than anything else, I wanted to try this restaurant in a lively Dublin neighborhood. The place is very nice, I ate well, found the service informal and friendly, and the quality/price ratio was good.

Just lovely. Fine food accentuated by superior service. The braised beef tortellini is not to be missed.

Had a decent experience here. Was seated immediately without a reservation, although I felt ignored since I was by myself. Food was decent, although nothing extraordinary.

Well, the meal was literally a dream. The individual components were perfectly matched. We had the fish of the day, the sirloin steak, and the tortellini, and for dessert, the sticky toffee. The server was very attentive and incredibly friendly. The kids got an extra ice cream and extra fries in addition to the included ice cream from the kids' menu. A real recommendation.
