Chequer Lane by Jamie Oliver in Dublin

Excellent. Can't tell you how thrilled we were to find this place; finally, after weeks with no salads, this place has delicious and 'non' fried options. Great salads and pastas. Went twice during our stay in Dublin; both times received excellent service!

A stunning restaurant with a great menu and amazing service, I'm so glad we found Chequer Lane and were able to snag the last reservation. Even seated at the bar area, the service was professional but super friendly, and we got great advice on what to order. The food was fantastic - both the crab and the beef pastas were insanely good. Great atmosphere made for a wonderful evening in Dublin.

Ouch, I'm going to shock you... after the Irish hotel cuisine adapted to French people (bread and butter), my wife and I were craving something to eat after two days. No research, just a stroll through this beautiful city, looking at the menus in front of the many establishments (when there are any), and surprise, we stumbled upon Chequer Lane... No argument, a wonderful welcome, a suggestion missing from the menu: Monkfish, and off we went. Superb meal, finally! The icing on the cake: we were able to enjoy it without having our plates taken away when we started the penultimate bite (what's this annoying Irish tradition!) In short, an excellent culinary experience, just like pub experiences; everything should be similar. Fortunately, this restaurant aligned the planets to make the entire Irish experience complete (for a French person?)

We were strolling around the area and decided to have an early dinner. The young Spanish receptionist was wonderful. She treated us extremely well and made excellent recommendations. The dishes were delicious, with high-quality ingredients. We ate at the tables outside, and the service wasn't exceptional, although it was adequate but untimely. Our food was delivered without cutlery or napkins, a detail that was quickly resolved, as was the case with dessert. I definitely recommend the stuffed pasta and the sticky chocolate pudding. The prices are reasonable. We'll definitely return to try other dishes.

We sat in kind of a squeeze in two top in the bar area, so the atmosphere was less than appealing but the service made up for it. The food is lovely and well executed.

Wow! One of our absolute favorites, and love to travel annd eat great food. Bol Au Vent, (chicken and mushroom w puff pastry) was amazing! Beef tortellini was unBELIEVABLE. Don’t think of getting a steak! Scallops in their own shell with seasoned breadcrumbs+, tender and lots of flavor.. Sticky Toffee Pudding, so good. We are in Ireland for 4 nights and may have to go back a 2nd time. Would recommend to anyone looking for an upscale change of pace from traditional Irish food. This place is a gem!
