Clarkes Bar in Mullingar

Clarkes staff took such phenomenal care of me while I was with them last week !! I was in Mullingar for a theatre competition and while the bar hosted a karaoke night for the university students I found myself experiencing anaphylaxis (not from anything consumed in the bar !) Carol checked in when she saw me and my friends panicked outside the main area, Naomi got me some antihistamine from her house up the road while we figured out what was happening, a male bouncer gave me some great advice that helped me and my friends realise my reaction was still spreading under my jacket, and Carol then drove me and a friend to regional Mullingar hospital herself and stayed until I got checked in and remained in contact with my friend while I was being seen to. First time with an allergic reaction and could not have been in better hands ! Great bar that genuinely takes care of their patrons, would absolutely recommend. Thank you to all the staff who helped me in a very scary situation !!

We had an amazing time visiting Clarke’s bar! Ciaran showed us around personally, and the entire staff were so friendly and helpful. Ciaran showed us where Niall Horan and Lewis Capaldi came to visit and he shared some photographs with us as well, and let us sign a guest book. We stayed for a lovely pint of Guinness and got a really nice T-shirt to remember the visit. Everyone at Clarke’s were so amazing and we had a really great experience visiting!

Good place to have a drink and listen to good music. The personnel is very friendly. They asked us if we were coming because we were Niall fans and when we confirmed this, one of the waiters showed us everything they had and let us be in the piano room playing it or listening to music. If you're passing through Mullingar and want a drink, it's a great option.

Amazing place and lovely people. I went with my friend to see the pub where Niall made the Amazon documentary and the staff showed us around, took photos of us and showed us exclusive photos of Niall. They also gave us some stickers and put some music on. They were so nice. We were so happy to be there, the staff made the experience a lot more fantastic. Couldn't ask for a more exciting way to start our little tour of Mullingar. Thank you so much for the amazing vibes, hope to be back as soon as possible.

We went to Mullingar to visit Niall’s hometown the day after his show in Dublin and we started our little tour of the town at Clarke’s. Having been fans of Niall for over 10 years, we were so excited to be there, and the owner and the staff made sure we had the best time. Truly the sweetest and kindest people ever! As soon as we arrived, they greeted us with a smile and immediately made us feel welcome. They showed us around and explained everything about the filming experience. They also let us take pictures and sing/dance to Niall’s music for as long as we liked. We then had a cup of tea, which was delicious! The atmosphere was warm and everyone was so friendly. Lovely bar, lovely people. 10/10 experience. I will definitely be back one day! Thank you for the memories. Love from Italy.

Such a great, friendly pub - loved it! Thankyou so much for taking the time to show my daughters everything from Niall and Lewis's visit, they are on cloud 9! Looking forward to a reciprocal trip to Bathgate in Scotland.

Great pint of Guinness, great area for pool.out back, toilets were exceptionally clean. Bar girl was very attentive and friendly.

A popular pub filled with friendly locals, great atmosphere and great music from a band called Mulligan. If we visit Mullingar again we will definitely call in.
