Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge in Dublin

Excellent hotel. Very helpful staff. We were able to check in early on arrival. Very good breakfast every morning. Was able to leave luggage.

Disgustingly dirty bar for over 4 hours on the night of arrival. Booking with agent didn't cater for what was confirmed. Staff had poor understanding of English. Food on night of arrival was microwaved, tasteless and hard. Mocktails were overpriced and flavourless. Staff would forget orders even after 2 reminders. The wait for food and drink orders was unacceptable - often up to over 40 mins for a coffee. You need to put a restaurant in the hotel with functioning chefs, waiting team with polished customer service and clean bar. The entire catering setup at this hotel is abysmal and completely ruins the overall holiday/vacation/getaway experience. Really awful. Won't be back. Terrible food ....disastrous service.

Amazing experience in every aspect. I spent new years eve 2024 until the 3rd of January 2025 with my family and would definitely be coming back. Kudos to the Management and staff.

On the outside the hotel looks great. Inside it is quite big with the long halls: room is spacious and equipped with usual necessities. Shampoo and shower gel are available. I have removed several stars for the service: we have arrived at the reception close to midnight: two adults and a toddler, very tired after daylong travels. Self check-in stands didn't work. There were no people, but two receptionists, who were friendly chatting with each other and completely ignored us for a good 10-15 minutes, while we were standing there and starring. Room 174 had a dirty floor and some sticky spillage near the table. Buy, buy clean socks! The bath was disgusting. When I took a shower, I discovered that the guts are blocked, when I investigated what causing this - it was a large amount of shaved human hair. I had to clean it cause it was coming back and floating around. And I had to wash a baby. Squeaking doors in the toilet is a disaster for the rest of the sleeping family, when someone goes there. We parked our car at the premises (paid) at an electric spot and started to charge, only to find out 30 minutes later, that the charging had stopped for no reason and we were already in pyjamas. Pillows are huge and uncomfortable. I do not recommend staying here as I did not get the comfortable rest and bathroom cleaning standards are far from reasonable.

11 night stay, 2 adults and a child. Lovely view of Funderland but room was not cleaned adequately during stay and very hard to sleep on New Years eve due to noise levels

The room was fine enough and a good temperature but the bathroom was a bit average and we didn't have enough cups or mugs for the number of guests. The cleaning staff were very respectful despite me being in the way every day. There was a bus stop right outside and a train station about 8min walk away. The breakfast included was very enjoyable.

Stayed for one night, it is convenient to city, it’s clean and lovely staff

Stayed here for Christmas , they made it feel like home away from home. Diego and Lucas gave us great service and were very nice to deal with. ❤️❤️dinner was excellent .

We have stayed at the Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge quite a few times now and are never disappointed it is a lovely hotel with extremely friendly staff. However I have just one comment to make this time, on arrival the toilet seat cover was up I didn't think anything of this until I went to flush the toilet and when I put the seat down the panel on the wall fell out I managed to put it back in and when you leave the seat cover up it keeps the panel in place - obviously the reason it was up on arrival. We didn't spend much time in the room as we were up from Wexford for Shopping and the Leinster game but I was surprised that this hadn't be fixed prior to letting the room. Its just something small and certainly won't put us off we will be back again. Kind regards Bríd Hayes

Bar Food was worse than a chipper. Chips either soaking all day in oil or the cooking oil is not hot enough. Ideal location and room very good
