Clayton Hotel Charlemont in Dublin

Stellar location right on the canal at one of the (many) hip spots that draws a crowd of revelers when the weather is nice. Canal is good for a walk/run…river is a short 20min walk.

Really nice stay. Staff was kind and helpful. The room was modern and clean, the bathroom was spacious. Location is nice, away from the buzzy center. Much quieter area, yet easy to walk to the center.

The bar here is amazing. The Bartenders here are soo talented and if you ask them to be creative, you wont regret it. My Bartender Pertu literally made us the most amazing drinks.

We loved The Clayton Hotel, Charlemont. Everything was brilliant. The room, the staff (shout for the bar staff 👏 who were very friendly, wspecially the barman who always kept us "topped up' and gave us great advice on how to get around Dublin and Howth during the bank holiday weekend. Fabulous. We WILL stay again. Thank you all. Steve & Chris (we came to see Christy Moore).

Great stay at the Clayton Charlemont - the staff were friendly and helpful, the Executive King room was larger than usual with really good facilities. Breakfast was lovely.

Very comfortable hotel, well appointed room and all staff were great. Food was good and service in the restaurant was very good. The carparking charge is extortionate.

This is an amazing hotel, a bit far from the Dublin center. The service is top, room clean and recent. I recommend it!

Very comfortable room, plenty of space, new facilities, very clean, well appointed bathroom. Also small bar fridge was a bonus, not often seen in Ireland. Great lounge sitting area in main reception. Luggage storage offered for the day. A bit out of Main tourist spots, but you can easily walk to St Stephen’s Green, Grafton St and Temple Bar area.

Beautiful canal-side staycation with top-tier service. I booked a night here for a staycation with my girlfriend. As a receptionist at a sister property, I’ve heard great things about this hotel and wanted to see it for myself. Patryk in reservations looked after us perfectly with a great room allocation. We arrived late around 9 PM and Josan on reception was incredibly welcoming and helpful from the jump. The room was spotless, spacious, and featured a great view of the canal. Having a bath in the room and the welcome plate were really nice extra touches. The staff here are brilliant. The night bartender was lovely and let us swap a beer voucher we won for two free soft drinks. The bartender during the day was also very helpful; since the kitchen was shut, he recommended using Deliveroo, which was perfect. He was a gentleman in his 40s or 50s who I’ve actually dealt with at Lockside Bar before - always consistently helpful. The only real downside is the valet parking, which is very pricey at €29. We decided to park on the street instead to save a bit. They have a fitness suite on-site too, which is nice to have as an option even though we didn't use it this time. We finished the stay with the breakfast buffet, which was excellent. There were plenty of hot food, continental, and Irish options to choose from. The Irish woman working the breakfast shift (blonde hair, ~50s) was super friendly and made us feel right at home. This was a beautiful stay and I’d definitely recommend it. Great value for the quality of service you get.

To Clayton Hotel Charlemont Street, what can I say. The hotel is in the heart of a travellers dream. To the staff, wowwwwww, what can I say, from just dealing with the Reception team, it didn't stop there, oh know it got even better, while out enjoying myself the next morning we opted for a coffee, A rather dashing young man by the name of Wayne assured me not only did the hotel have such a wide variety breakfast option, but also said they have the best cup of scald in town. For those of you not used to the dublin lingo this means cup of coffee 🤣. Anyways he wasn't wrong, it was a outstanding cup of coffee, after going about my day and my daily jog down the canal of Dublin city centre, after Arriving back to the hotel, I have a rather small issue with the shower, turns out I was the problem and using the wrong dial in the shower, spiralling the temperature dial, Wayne assured me its a common problem for some, made me not feel as silly in the end. He had an ample amount of heart and couldn't give enough more duty to care on my visit to Hotel Charlemont. An absolute credit to the company, and a rather dashing younger guy on the maintenance team which turned out to be his son. Great duo and team, Hotel Charlemont looks amazing 👏 Keep up the Great Work Guys. ~Lee r410
