Cliff at Lyons in Celbridge

A wonderful historical experience with excellent service and hospitality. As we were playing golf around the accommodation, we recommended this for the stay and playing wonderful golfcourse within a stone throw range. We did not stay in the hotel just had coffee and sandwiches in the courtyard. They have a lovely deli takeaway. The Guinness bread is gorgeous.

What a beautiful location. The setting is absolutely Incredible. Really friendly and helpful young staff. The rooms are beautiful, we had a gorgeous view of the lily pond from our room. The bathroom was very luxurious. This hotel compared very well with some of the best 5 star hotels in Ireland including its illustrious sister in Waterford. The food in the restaurant was exquisite. The pigeon, the lobster salad, the John Dory especially as well as desert and cheese were all gorgeous. We will certainly be back. We get blue book vouchers as a present and we use them to get away, this is our 6th year using them and this was our best blue book trip. We came here for a badly needed break after a tough year while our daughter was very sick and this truly gave us respite we needed.

Magical is the best word to describe it. We have stayed on several occasions over the years and every time I am just amazed at how beautiful this place is, and the staff are so welcoming, professional and attentive. The glass encased Orangery is straight out of a fairytale and breakfast is served there every morning. Food is amazing, cocktails in the Lyons Den are an experience not to be missed and so are the treatments in the SPA on the premises. If you visit Ireland make sure to add Cliff at Lyons to your list of places to stay.

Beautiful old village on the banks of the grand canal.

We were excited to stay at the Cliff at Lyons, the property and grounds are absolutely gorgeous, full of charm and beautifully maintained. However, our experience with the accommodations was disappointing. The room felt dated and, more concerningly, was not properly cleaned. We found cobwebs, several dead flies, and even trash left behind from the previous guests. We reported this to the front desk, and they assured us the room would be cleaned while we were at dinner. Unfortunately, when we returned, no one had come by. Dinner at The Mill restaurant was fine, though nothing particularly memorable. Breakfast the next morning was much better. We only stayed one night, and the hotel did credit a portion of our stay, which we appreciated.

10/10 for everything here. We came for a wedding. It is a beautiful property in a stunning location. The staff always went the extra mile without even trying. Thank you.
