Cliff at Lyons in Celbridge

What an experience! Where do I start, from the most friendliest of staff to the beautiful accommodation, the attention to detail, the outdoor spa, everything was magical! Highly recommend this little gem of a place.

UPDATE: Management seem to have resolved this particular dumping issue. That is much appreciated. Please consider what further actions you can take to minimise litter on the canal from disposable coffee cups and your plastic bottles, either with more bins or signage or ceasing to offer take-away coffee. The bin at Dove Square is routinely overflowing. Many bags of rubbish (mainly drinks containers - some branded "Cliff at Lyons" or "Pantry at Lyons") have been collected by Tidy Towns volunteers from the canal in recent weeks. Original Post: 8 beer kegs haphazardly dumped in their fenced off section of ground alongside the picturesque canal bank walk (Ardclough side), I informed their staff but they took no action. I also regularly pick up so-called "disposable" coffee cups their patrons have dumped along the canal as far as Hazelhatch. I recently picked up 3 large bags of rubbish along the canal that their land fronts onto. They should clear these keys ASAP, keep the entire outer perimeter of their land clear of litter, and they should encourage their patrons to drink their coffee on site rather than spoil the very amenity that this business seeks to exploit.

Beautiful location. Hit and miss on service and general cleanliness. Not worth the price they charge.long wait for breakfast, then omitted my partners order. Mine went cold waiting for hers.

I went into hotel reception looking 2 book lunch carvery next Wednesday they don't do carvery for 4 no alternative was offered to me we went over 2 pantry looking for tea cakes very busy about twenty people ahead of us waiting 2b served after 20 mins we left only 1 person serving this was our first visit here very disappointed

Came here for a wedding, really nice venue, very good food and the spa is really nice too. Quite pricey but worth it.

Had a really great stay in cliff Lyon’s , have stayed twice and both times had beautiful rooms , very relaxing atmosphere and combined with amazing food makes for a great get away.

Unfortunately not the kind of service I would expect from a luxury spa. I found the staff unhelpful and lacking attention to detail. I was directed to the spa which was through a locked gate and a bit of a walk through some outer buildings which felt like abit of a maze. Maybe ok if you were with someone but I think as a girl on her own visiting for the first time, it would have been nice to be escorted to the spa building. The lady that carried out my treatment was lovely and chatty but unfortunately the girl on the reception desk was not very helpful. I asked for a tea or coffee after the treatment to which I was felt as though I was putting her out. I waited in the relation room while she boiled the kettle but unfortunately she never came back. After waiting for some time I got up and left. I loved the gardens and the surroundings but unfortunately the staff and lack of attention to the guests needs is left to be desired.

Decided to use a gifted voucher. Had done so previously. Advised that terms and conditions changed which was limiting for our dietary needs until "Alex" rescued the situation. He advised us that multiple choices of food would be available to us and that their food was cooked fresh/from scratch and menu changed every couple of days. Menu on website for The Mill Restaurant is a sample menu. Maybe this should be highlighted better. Thanks to Alex, an amazing chef and wonderful staff on the day (Tuesday 2nd Jan) we had the most delightful experience in a beautiful setting with incredibly delicious foods. So many flavours. Thank you
