Superb pint of Guinness. The sheds is a true Irish pub that has been in family ownership since the 1920s, so not long to go to 100 years in the same family. The name associated with it, ‘The Sheds’, is a reference to the old sheds that served the former fishing village that was Clontarf. The pub itself has held a license since the 1840s which makes this drinking house one of the oldest in Dublin. Facing into Dublin Bay past what used to be the old Clontarf Baths, this pub occupies a great location. There is also a hidden gem of a beer garden secreted at the rear, but not for an Irish January. The service was friendly and efficient, toilets bar and lounge were all clean. There is a pleasant feel of the past about the room and I love the old floor tiles. The pint was not the cheapest, but not the dearest either. You are, after all, paying for the history and the location. Long may it continue. Well worth a visit.

Dropped over to visit my family and ended up popping round for a few pints and a show upstairs in the Viking theatre. Great pub and service .

Really Love a relaxing beer in the sheds. Nice people and nice pints. They have a smoking area out back too with heaters, which is great! Been coming here once a week since I've found this wonder of a bar. Wanted to give 5 stars for food but they don't serve any. I've no doubt if they did it would be top notch. As is the buz around the place, positive, chilled, great people, love coming here with the girls after work ♥

The Sheds is my nearest pub, so I'm biased. Peter and the staff are very professional and friendly, the pub has character, the drink is always great and an added little bonus, they have started serving food from the kitchens of The Sandbar Italian restaurant. What is there not to like.
