30/10/2025: Great traditional pub great staff lovely atmosphere

28/08/2025: We went to a 50th birthday party in the Stoneboat. The party was in a private room upstairs. The staff were friendly and helpful. The toilets were clean and the room was nice. My only complaint, there was no air conditioning and it was really uncomfortably hot, everyone was complaining about the heat. It put a bit of a dampener on the night. The person who's party it was wanted to go home to get some fans. The food was brought in from an outside caterer. I have been here before for other gatherings, a funeral, a christening and a communion and it's always been a nice place. It's not far from the city with regular busses stopping outside. They have live music at the weekends. I recommend the Stoneboat.
