Damascus Gate in Dublin

Delicious food and great recommendations from the waiter. We shared a meze plate and one main as we were not sure hungry. Highly recommend

Came to this Syrian/Lebanese restaurant twice during my week’s stay in Dublin. Really good food had the lamb kibbeh followed by lamb skewers. Friendly owner, who gave good advice on menu choices. Good range of drinks including 0% beer on draught. Will definitely come again when I visit Dublin

We had the meal of a lifetime at Damascus Gate in Dubin. Ghandi took time to make recommendations based on our preferences and took personal interest in our happiness while we dined. Wonderful experience! We will certainly be coming to Damascus Gate whenever we are in Dublin.

Food was very good. The owner was great. The waitress, Maria, was exceptional. She was very sweet and made the experi3nce wonderful.

We got to Damascus Gate quite late, we knew they would be closing soon but we were hoping we would be able to order something quick…but unfortunately when we arrived the kitchen was already closed and it was clear that we were too late to order. We were quite disappointed because we were quite hungry, and seeing this, the owner welcomed us to stay for a moment, and since we were unlikely to find anything else open at that hour, he graciously provided us with the best hummus and baba ghanouj and pita that I have had in a long time. My friend traveling with me has been to Lebanon several times and she agreed that the quality and authenticity of the food was perfection. The owner let us sit and rest and try the dips, offered us plenty of water, and then surprised us by insisting it was all on the house. It was our very first evening in Dublin and we were incredibly touched by such hospitality. Definitely coming back next time we visit.

Had my wedding dinner at Damascus Gate, and wow, what a great choice! The food was seriously delicious—everything was fresh and bursting with flavor. The service was awesome too; the staff made us feel so welcome and took great care of us. If you’re looking for a spot with amazing Middle Eastern food and a warm, friendly vibe, this is the place! Can’t wait to go back.
