Damascus Gate in Dublin

Have had much nicer middle eastern food. It was just ok.

Perfect grills and super delicious wines. The Lebanese red pairs well with quails, recommended to all my friends. In such a stormy snowy day, this food is holy grail. Really appreciate the homely service, my partner loved the falafel and potatoes, portion super generous. The wines are very seductive, some organic Syrian wines on the list waiting for us to try next time. This is my second time here and will come back more often!

This is the best place in Terenure for food.

Really delicious food and the hospitality you would expect from a middle eastern place. Quite reasonably priced too.

The food was really good. The service was not. The waiter was okay at first but he vanished half way through the night, never cleared the table, checked if we wanted drinks or dessert, refilled the empty water jug or really did anything. Our table and another finished the meal with empty plates in front and the waiter was sitting the opposite side of the restaurant chatting away with two customers/ friends of his. Had to hunt him down to get the check after waiting far too long. Would try the other location for Damascus Gate in future because the food is genuinely good.

Just been for Dinner and I give it an honest 5 stars all round. Great Food, Service and Atmosphere. Not rushed at all, it's not "going for dinner" it is enjoying a great meal in a relaxed atmosphere and not feeling rushed. It feels authentic and the staff are there but, not hovering around you. The Gentleman who served us was pleasant and respectful. You certainly won't leave hungry but, you will leave with a smile.

Ambience, quality of food and good food service. Host is very friendly and cares about the customer to come back and enjoy the food.

The restaurant is really beautiful and has a very Mediterranean feel. The ambience lighting is very nice. The music that plays is nice as well. Food surely misses several key notes in my personal view. I have had much better food from Syrian and other middle eastern regions. Maybe they have toned it down to suit the local palette
