“Douglas & Kaldi offers a cozy, inviting atmosphere with genuinely friendly staff and an efficient setup. The terrace is lovely for brunch, and dishes like the Irish breakfast bap, sourdough sandwiches, and unique waffles are highlights. That said, quality can be hit or miss—some meals have lacked flavor or arrived dry, and prices feel a little high for the portion quality. Still, it’s a useful neighborhood spot with good vibes in Rat Horne.”

I recently visited Douglas & Kaldi after a fun-filled day at the zoo with my children, and it was the perfect way to end the day!
I’d seen so many mouth-watering posts about their pancakes and just had to try them — and we were not disappointed. Three of us ordered pancakes with different toppings and each one was absolutely incredible.
We also tried a variety of other dishes — the spaghetti, chicken goujons, and a sandwich — and honestly, every single item was spot on. So full of flavour, beautifully presented, and not a single thing we could fault.
Before heading home, I grabbed a takeaway coffee and even that was superb — rich, smooth, and exactly what I needed.
The service was quick and the staff were extremely friendly, making us feel genuinely welcome.
Highly recommend this place for families, foodies, or anyone looking for a delicious meal and great experience!

Great place. Loved the food, fairly pricey but that’s what you get in this economy. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Would definitely re visit!

The food is beautiful, my only problem is that a personal request was overlooked, it personally wasn't that big of an issue to send the dish back but for others it might be a problem if you have certain dietary requirements. Service is fantastic and not usually a long wait for a table during busy periods. Location is great too. Worth a stop if you're in the area.
