26/11/2025: Location is a bit out of the city centre, but still 45 mins on a luas into the city or a bus is about 60mins. Hotels lovely , room I got was massive! Had a tv with a lot of channels , had a gym, a pool . Had everything really. I didn’t eat or drink there as it was for a work event the next day .
24/11/2025: I had a genuinely lovely stay at the Maldron in Tallaght. The hotel could benefit from a little modernisation, but the staff more than make up for it. Their service is honestly on par with a high-end hotel - check-ins, warm smiles, great personalities and real support throughout my stay.
Michelle from Housekeeping was wonderful, and Adi at Front of House went above and beyond. They really made the experience special.
The facilities are great, especially the swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. You do walk past the conference rooms to get there which is a bit unusual, but everything is very clean and well kept.
For business guests, there are several conference rooms available. And the location is surprisingly convenient - Tallaght has fantastic transport links. There’s a tram, buses, and a big shopping centre right across the road, so you’re not isolated at all. Even coming from out of town, I found it easy. There’s also a bus that goes straight to Temple Bar in around 30 minutes, tram goes to the Museum for about 5 euro return. You may need a travel card, which I believe can be ordered online. Locals were very understanding when I got lost and were genuinely helpful every time.
I highly recommend the Maldron. The rooms are clean, comfortable and perfectly fine Could not find the remote for the tv. I do wish all rooms came with robes and slippers, but these are available in the executive rooms. As a female traveller, I also appreciated that the room could be locked securely from inside.
I didn’t try the restaurant or bar, so I can’t comment on those, but there’s plenty of food options around the area.
Tallaght is developing and I can see it becoming an even nicer place to stay. Overall, Ireland was amazing, and so were its people.
Thank you to the Maldron Tallaght team for a great stay!
