Excellent local supermarket with nearly everything one would need for a weekly shop. Obviously, physical size is the limiting factor so less commonly used items can be difficult or impossible to find. Staff are friendly and helpful. Adequate car park that usually suffices but occasionally gets overwhelmed. Has an array of 7kw chargers - unfortunately 2 or 3 are permanently out of order and reporting this to a manager (repeatedly) is usually met with shoulder shrugging but no action. Very frustrating. If the chargers were fixed, this store would be a 5* one.

I went to Newtown Park Avenue Dunnes stores today to make a quick stop for specific crisps that I love and a lot of the time they are sold out. We discovered they had none left on the shelf and we came across a very helpful staff member Sean who straight away without hesitation offered to check the back before we had even asked. His customer service is 10/10 and was a very approachable and polite young man. I was so please with Sean’s service today.

First time in this Dunnes location. It looked nice. Car park was a bit awkward to get into due to entrance/ exit of cars. Inside the store was nicely laid out and spacious to be able to look around without taking up an aisle. The two women on the checkouts when I was there were so helpful.

25/09/2025: I go there very often, the staff are always friendly, the food is always tasty and of good quality. They also have a good music playing too which I love. Though the food is slightly pricey it’s worthwhile as the portions are good and it fills you ages. I am often served by Maya who often makes my bowls and they are always delicious. Thank you Maya :)

Maldron Hotel Tallaght

26/11/2025: Location is a bit out of the city centre, but still 45 mins on a luas into the city or a bus is about 60mins. Hotels lovely , room I got was massive! Had a tv with a lot of channels , had a gym, a pool . Had everything really. I didn’t eat or drink there as it was for a work event the next day .
24/11/2025: I had a genuinely lovely stay at the Maldron in Tallaght. The hotel could benefit from a little modernisation, but the staff more than make up for it. Their service is honestly on par with a high-end hotel - check-ins, warm smiles, great personalities and real support throughout my stay. Michelle from Housekeeping was wonderful, and Adi at Front of House went above and beyond. They really made the experience special. The facilities are great, especially the swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. You do walk past the conference rooms to get there which is a bit unusual, but everything is very clean and well kept. For business guests, there are several conference rooms available. And the location is surprisingly convenient - Tallaght has fantastic transport links. There’s a tram, buses, and a big shopping centre right across the road, so you’re not isolated at all. Even coming from out of town, I found it easy. There’s also a bus that goes straight to Temple Bar in around 30 minutes, tram goes to the Museum for about 5 euro return. You may need a travel card, which I believe can be ordered online. Locals were very understanding when I got lost and were genuinely helpful every time. I highly recommend the Maldron. The rooms are clean, comfortable and perfectly fine Could not find the remote for the tv. I do wish all rooms came with robes and slippers, but these are available in the executive rooms. As a female traveller, I also appreciated that the room could be locked securely from inside. I didn’t try the restaurant or bar, so I can’t comment on those, but there’s plenty of food options around the area. Tallaght is developing and I can see it becoming an even nicer place to stay. Overall, Ireland was amazing, and so were its people. Thank you to the Maldron Tallaght team for a great stay!
