We love The Eagle not only as our local pub where we regularly go for food and drinks but also for our recent engagement party where we reserved the back atrium area and had 60 of our nearest and dearest party all night. It is a lovely, aesthetic venue and the food and staff are brilliant. They are laid back yet attentive and helpful. Rebecca and the team are fantastic. Highly recommend

I ate here with my wife this evening. The pub looks nice and was quite busy. The manager greeted us and found us a table which was very nice. My wife ordered the lamb shank with risotto and I ordered the fish and chips. The lamb was well presented and tasty but I found the fish very greasy. I ate the fish and left all the batter. When the waitress came to clear the table she asked how everything was and I told her the fish was greasy and she apologised. The pub was also very hot , uncomfortably hot. Maybe they were ilhaving a bad day with the fish because I can't fault the staff. I would return for a pint but probably not for food.

The Eagle used to have an excellent reputation in the early 2000s for food but went downhill until the recent owner took it over. We're locals who were convinced to give it another try & we're glad we did. The food is good, pub grub fare and the staff are friendly and efficient. The salads are surprisingly good & people rave about the muscles. Handy if you live close by and don't fancy cooking - big improvement! Ask for a table in the back restaurant if you don't want to be disturbed by large groups & young children.

I can't praise the Eagle enough. I recently had a party there to mark a bug birthday. From the time I initially inquired about booking the lovely glass room at the back, the staff members were so friendly and couldn't do enough to help me. Nothing was a problem for them. The food was extremely tasty, several divisions about the usual gastro pub fare. I'm vegan, as are several of my guests, and a few others are gluten-intolerant. We were all catered for unbelievably well. All of the staff, without exception, were so friendly and helpful. Many thanks to them all, including Eddie, Camilla, Rebecca and the very kind barman who managed to find a taxi that could bring home my sister-in-law, who uses a wheelchair. All of my friends and family members thoroughly enjoyed their evening at the Eagle. The buzz is great there. Don't hesitate to book it for a special event or just to go there for a lovely meal and evening out. Thanks, everyone.
