What an absolute gem of a pub! The Eagle is everything you want in a proper local. The food is outstanding, the turkey and ham in the roast were perfectly cooked, incredibly juicy, full of flavour, and carved generously. The gravy? Absolutely fantastic, rich, savoury, and poured with a generous hand. Paired with creamy, flawless pints of Guinness that were pulled beautifully every time.
I went in once and loved it so much I came back the very next day for more of the same. The bar staff are warm, quick, and genuinely friendly, always a smile and a chat. The manager runs the place with real care and energy, you can tell everything is done properly.
The atmosphere is pure community, locals chatting, families comfortable, everyone made to feel welcome. Brilliant family-friendly spot with a proper pub heart. Hands down one of the best around. Can’t wait to return! Highly recommend.

I've been in here once and twice and each time I have enjoyed my visit. Whether it is a family gathering or a work social, the place was great. The service was very good and the place being dog friendly added a little pleasure.

Stopped in Glasthule after a Sunday walk & decided a Sunday Dinner was needed ... The Eagle delivered, traditional roast beef lunch but also a full & varied menu if you wanted something different.
An enjoyable dinner with friends & comfortable surroundings., my 1st time i The Eagle but it won't be my last.

Good pub, delicious Guinness. The chicken wings weren't great, but that's forgivable.
The cider was also tasty, and the service was good. BUT be warned: there's no carpet.

Likely one of the most civilized and flavorful pubs I’ve visited in Ireland. Spacious, tastefully designed, with excellent food and attentive yet unobtrusive service. It’s simply the perfect example of what a modern pub, run by people who truly care, should look like.

Amazing food! First meal in Ireland- wasn’t disappointed. Fish (haddock) and chips (vinegar on the side so you can go as crazy as you want.. cool). As well as the daily soup, potato and leek, served with Guinness bread, which was so good that we took a slice for breakfast on the bus the next morning!
Classic pub vibes, springboks were playing on the TV and had a small amount of Saturday supporters. Service was fine :)
We’ll recommend

It was so yum! The fish and chips were perfect and a good portion of fish and the daily soup which was leek and potato was delicious! Perfect with a couple Guinness. Also the Guinness bread with the soup was a great texture and flavour. Mmmmm

We booked a table of 12. The service is excellent! The food is really nice and high quality. The kids menu offers steak and the steak that arrived would hinestly suit an adult. The chips were a nice big size and not your usual skinny frozen ones that places use for kids. The kids burger was really big and looked delicious. My RIGATONI ALLA VODKA was really nice with generous squares of parmesan throughout. My soup of the day was really nice with a good piece of brown bread and butter. Dessert was nice and everybody was really happy with their food and the service. I picked this place for my birthday because a liunch I had previously was delicious and it was just a panini and soup. I will be back as it is a lovely place serving really nice food with a great service, thanks!
