Eatzen in Ashbourne

Just had Sunday lunch here and I can honestly say it’s one of the best Chinese meals I’ve ever had. Lovely food, very friendly and helpful staff with a very nice atmosphere.

Dinned here on New Years Eve and the table service was terrible. From asking staff to get a drink and getting eye rolls from some of them to having to wait over an hour from starter to main. We also had a table of 15 of us and not once did the staff come back and check on us for drinks. When the mains came out, 2 of us got our mains while the rest were given side dishes and had to wait. We then still had some people not got their side dishes for ages too. Terrible experience.

My second time eating at Eatzen and was impressed and will return. The food was lovely and a nice upmarket decour and ambience, with great service. Today we had a lunch menu that was very reasonably priced.

I discovered this hidden gem through Instagram, and it absolutely did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived, the experience was incredible—starting with a warm greeting at the desk to the impeccable fine dining silver service. Everything was a solid 10/10. We kicked things off with the yuk sung, which was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted—perfectly charred meat that was simply delightful. The jumbo prawns wrapped in noodles were stunning and added a fantastic touch to the meal. The pacing between courses was just right, something missing from a lot of places lately. For our main dishes, we enjoyed the Peking beef and their special La Si Ji, both of which were phenomenal. We also ordered a side of Chinese vegetables and pork, which we spotted on Instagram and couldn’t resist. Overall, it was an absolutely sensational dining experience. We’ll definitely be returning again and again. If you’re looking for a must-try restaurant, look no further!

Very rushed experience. Unenjoyable which is a shame. Food is excellent but otherwise it was a fast/ rushed experience over all. No time between starter and main . Despite being asked is we would like to take a pause between. Resulted in leaving early. No time to sit and enjoy food drink and company

Fantastic experience …. Katherine the owner’s daughter was an attentive and perfect hostess. She made our anniversary dinner a memorable and unforgettable occasion.
