I had coffee, a ham and cheese croissant and I brought home a sourdough. Gorgeous! Very, very tasty. I need to finish my sourdough so I can try the other variations. I asked for the rye one and I was told it was done in the past and it could be back soon. It is comparable to my Bread Naturally in Raheny which has the best sourdough in this side of the Milk Way.

Having tried the supposed best café in Dublin I can categorically say that this place is superior in every sense. Friendly staff, delicious and fresh pastries as well as one of the best coffees I have ever had. A must visit.

The rhubarb cream brioche from Elliot’s might just be the best thing I’ve ever eaten. It’s the perfect balance of tangy, creamy, zesty, perfectly sweet but not too sweet, just delightful. Honestly, everything I’ve tried from Elliot’s has been great. Their basque cheesecake is gorgeous. The only downside is if you want options, get there before 10 AM on weekends. The shop closes at 3 PM, but most of the stuff is gone by 11

This pastry with pastrami and cheese inside was insanely good! The crust was delicate and crispy and so flaky and good! But the best part of this really was the pastrami filling. I haven’t tried anything like it before. I know I will be dreaming of this pastry all week! Important note though to be there early because their bread gets sold out fast! We got there around 12nn and there’s only 3 options left. Oh and coffee is good too! :)

Pastries YUM - amazing selection of sweet and savoury. The Jambon-beurre are AMAZING. Serve them 7 days a week PLEASEEEE. Stefannie was the best - so friendly, polite and generally made the experience for myself and my friend.

The food is just OK. Some of the pastries could use more filling (for example the pastrami one was just cooked ham and a single slice of it).

Peggy Kelly's

22/06/2025: Good atmosphere for pints. However, toilets are dirty and cocktails are not worth it
21/06/2025: Went here to celebrate my birthday last weekend and couldn't have been more satisified with how the evening went. I booked a table in the beer garden and was very impressed with the attention given to us by Peggy who dropped by every once in a while to check in on us and asked whose birthday it was. This was a lovely touch, and made the atmosphere feel very homely, similar to that of a country pub. Looking forward to coming back here again.
