Really great set lunch. Excellent food, friendly service, pleasant bistro style dining room.

My husband and I visited The Wine Cellar last night to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary, and it was one of the most attentive & authentic meals we've had in ages. From the very first moment, Des looked after us with such sincerity and kindness. We both travel for work and dine out regularly, and trust me when I say the warmth of Des and his team is truly world-class. My husband is Italian, and we both loved our food. We tried the truffle arancini which were delightful, the bolognese which was perfectly balanced, and the coppa which was melt-in-your-mouth tender with the most incredible rich marsala sauce. For dessert, we shared the tiramisu and agreed it was the best one we'd ever had - ever! Compliments to the chef! Another bonus is the amazing €1 corkage deal on Sun-Tues, where you can select a bottle from their extensive selection on the shelves. We were really impressed by some of the labels and vintages on offer. We will absolutely be back again, and will be highly recommending The Wine Cellar to our family and friends for a relaxing evening and perfect atmosphere. My wife and I had the pleasure of celebrating Valentine's Day at The Wine Cellar at Fallon & Byrne, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped into the cozy, candlelit basement, we knew we were in for a memorable evening. The exposed brick walls, soft lighting, and the extensive selection of wines surrounding us created an atmosphere that felt both refined and inviting. The wine list, as expected, was outstanding—carefully curated with an impressive variety to suit every palate. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, helping us select the perfect bottle to complement our meal. Their recommendations were spot on, and their attention to detail made us feel truly valued. As for the food, it was simply divine. Every dish was crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. From the artisanal cheese board to the perfectly cooked mains, each bite was a delight. What truly set the evening apart, however, was the service. The team was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed for a seamless dining experience. Had a wonderful evening here on Saturday 1/2/2025. Des looked after us with great warmth and wit. We had 'The Works' ( Devine) with a bottle of wine from the shelf. Very good value at €25 plus €10 corkage. We shared the prawn main with pasta. We liked it but it may not be for everyone as it is quite dry. Great night overall. Will be back.

Great time for a birthday, Des would great!!

Although we were there for dinner at the busy start of December the service was great as was the food. We have been there a few times before, but on this occasion it was even better than it has been in the past.

Lovely fish stew for lunch...with plenty of tasty chuncks of fish (could do with more bread to soak up yummy sauce). Albariño was fab alongside the prompt and efficient service.

Essentially a posh grocery store, however they do have lots of yummy things.
