Absolutely loved Fish Shack. The seafood chowder wow!! It was so delicious, possibly one of the best I've had, the fish and chips as well, super fresh and tasty. Service was quick and the staff were very kind. I will be going back for sure!

Arrived about an hour before close on a weekday for a quick bite. Would rather have been told it’s too close to close but instead we were seated and made felt very uncomfortable and rushed by staff. Food order taken while we took our coats off, staff loudly saying right beside us they can’t wait to go home and hope they can get home early, plates taken off us before we were finished, which was very obvious there was a lot of food left. Bill dropped over straight after. Never felt more unwelcome somewhere and we were not the only people there.

What a treat. I was over from Sligo for a few days in Glasthule and was looking forward to trying here, I'd had takeout from the stall in Dun Laoghaire pier which was fantastic, so. Not disappointed! Came in on the Friday after Marlay Park lights, I had fish tacos and my friend had the chowder, both great. Very good wine list too, with carafes available if you aren't wanting a full bottle. Came back in today as I was after the paella and it was stunning. Rice perfectly cooked, tiny bit of bite and not too much of it - perfect balance of rice and fish. Never had better outside Spain, and often not inside. My friend says the batter on her fish was the best she's had too, light, not even slightly greasy, just lovely. Approved!

I’m writing this review before I have even payed as it is so good. You need to try the fish tacos, the freshest and most amazing tasting fish. It’s super gluten free friendly as well. Lovely staff and attentive. It’s a small place so can be loud and booking a table might be a good option. The chips are cooked perfectly. Everything is super fresh and tasty

The food was tasty, but we would found the portions to be slightly on the smaller side. Granted, many places in Ireland serve massive portions and food is not that nice (and seafood is expensive), but we did order a pasta dish.. A bit more actual pasta in it would have gone a long way. Everything was yummy, though.
